DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN OPENS OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK!
An ice skating rink opened in Downtown Summerlin with hours of operation from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and certain holidays through sometime in mid-January. The skating fee is $15, which includes skate rental. The Rock Rink is located on the northwest side of the property at Rosemary Park Drive and Summa Drive.
MTO CAFÉ AT DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN NOW OPEN
The second location of MTO Café is now open in the Dining Arroyo area at Downtown Summerlin. The restaurant serves up its hallmark comfort food featuring fresh local ingredients for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Chef Johnny Church, named 2014 Culinarian of Year by the Nevada Restaurant Association, has expanded the menu to include dinner at the Summerlin location. The Downtown Summerlin location is a walkup concept bearing MTO's modern-yet-retro industrial feel, spanning 2,500 square feet with three distinct dining areas, including the dining room and a community table as well as an 800-square-foot outdoor patio. As with the original café, the community table has been handcrafted by the owners using wood from the family farm in Kentucky. MTO Café at Downtown Summerlin is open daily from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

THE LINQ WILL BECOME WINTER PARQ WITH SNOW
The LINQ will transform into Winter PARQ starting Dec. 5 with a tubing hill for thrill-seekers to slide down a 30-foot tall hill made of real snow. Located behind the High Roller, Winter PARQ will be an attraction for all ages. Tickets are $5 per ride or $20 for an All-Day Pass. The Winter PARQ hill will be open Monday through Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 2 to 10 p.m.
Starting Dec. 8, The LINQ Promenade will let it snow across the entire dining, shopping and entertainment district, with real snowflakes draping down the buildings every half hour. Holiday decorations, music and singing carolers will fill the promenade.
WEEKLY EVENTS AT THE LINQ
The LINQ BLOQ Party is held every Tuesday starting at 9:30 p.m. with Silent Disco taking place at The LINQ Fountain Stage. Silent Disco is free and open to the public and Chet Buchanan from 98.5 KLUC broadcasts live from The LINQ Fountains.
On Wine Walk Wednesdays, there are complimentary wine samples and live music at BLVD Cocktail Company from 6 to 8 p.m.
Thursday is Ladies Night with females riding the High Roller for $19.95 and receiving a complimentary drink at the Sky Lounge and BLVD Cocktail Company.
NFR HAPPENINGS AT THE LINQ AND RIVIERA
Country music stars Big & Rich will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl during National Finals Rodeo (NFR) on Dec. 5 and 6 at 9 p.m. Tickets start at $51.50.
For NFR, Dec. 4-14, guests wearing cowboy hats get a free drink at the Sky Bar Lounge at the High Roller with a ticket purchase for a ride. Thursdays, Dec. 4 and 11, will be Cowgirl's Night where all ladies in cowgirl hats can ride the High Roller for free.
Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar at The LINQ will offer 25 percent off all appetizers, $5 draft beers, $5 Sauza tequila shots and $7 house margaritas during the rodeo.
A cowboy-themed LINQ BLOQ Party with Silent Line Dancing, instead of the classic Silent Disco, will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 9 for all country fans.
The Riviera will welcome NFR with drink specials, free live music, free shuttle service and more for the 10-day competition. Live music will be inside the Wicked Vicky Playroom nightly throughout the 10-day rodeo beginning at 9 p.m. WolfCreek will perform nightly except on Tuesday, Dec. 9 when Marshal Reign is featured.
HIGH ROLLER AND LINQ HOLD LAST SEQUENTIAL 12-13-14 WEDDING EVENT
On Dec. 13, the High Roller and The LINQ Promenade will celebrate this century's last sequential 12-13-14 wedding date. To celebrate the lucky date, the High Roller will host free simultaneous in-cabin weddings for two hours and two minutes beginning at 10:11 a.m. and ending at 12:13 p.m.
To be among the betrothed couples participating in the free weddings or vow renewals on the wheel, it will be a first-come, first-served basis. Each couple will also receive a complimentary champagne toast and commemorative photo.
FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE WELCOMES NFR WITH HOEDOWN
The 12 Days of Country will return to the Fremont Street Experience beginning Dec. 3 with the 28th Annual Downtown Hoedown and run through Dec. 14. This year's 12 Days of Country, which celebrates the return of two weeks of National Finals Rodeo, will feature free nightly entertainment. This year's lineup will highlights country stars Thomas Rhett, Confederate Railroad, The Cadillac Three, American Young, RaeLynn, and Old Dominion on Fremont Street Experience's three stages, with all performances free to the public. The Downtown Hoedown concerts begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until 11:30 p.m.
Also in December, the custom stage production show “Neon Country Nights” will be performing country hits on Fremont Street Experience's 1st Street Stage nightly except Mondays through Dec. 25. They will also get into the holiday spirit by incorporating Christmas favorites into the nightly playlists from Dec. 9-Dec. 25.
TIM ALLEN WILL HEADLINE AT THE MIRAGE AGAIN IN 2015
Renowned comedian and award-winning actor who stars on the ABC hit sitcom “Last Man Standing,” Tim Allen will return to The Mirage in 2015 bringing his stand-up comedy to the Terry Fator Theatre for five scheduled performances. He recently announced his upcoming schedule on “LIVE with Kelly and Michael” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Allen was the star on the long-running ABC television series “Home Improvement.” His film credits include leading roles in “The Santa Clause,” “Toy Story,” “Galaxy Quest,” and “Wild Hogs,” among many others. MONDAYS DARK HOLDS ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY STAR-STUDDED EVENT
Top talent will descend on The Joint at Hard Rock for Mondays Dark's One-Year Anniversary, benefitting 24 Las Vegas charities, on Dec. 15. The showcase has announced the first half of its celebrity talent lineup, with additional presenters and performers to be named in early December.
Among the list of confirmed presenters are Dot Marie Jones - “Glee,” A.J. Buckley “CSI: New York,” Life is Beautiful Festival Founder Rehan Choudhry, Robin Leach, Frank Pellegrino Jr., hypnotist Marc Savard, TJ Lavin and Ricardo Laguna, Chumlee “Pawn Stars,” and more.
The entertainment lineup will include performances by American Idol's Blake Lewis, Earl Turner, Edie the Entertainer from Cirque du Soleil's “Zumanity,” Clint Holmes, and a reunion of current and past cast members from the Las Vegas production of “Jersey Boys.”

BARRY BLACK AND FRIENDS PERFORM AT HOUSE OF BLUES
Soulful singer songwriter Barry Black, known nationally from his appearance on NBC's “The Voice,” will perform “A Soulful Christmas with Barry Black and friends…” concert at Crossroads Restaurant & Bar at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay Tuesday, Dec. 16 through Saturday, Dec. 20 from 8-11 p.m. Admission is free and open to all ages.
Black will perform a full set of holiday favorites and some original songs on the intimate Courtyard Stage where he will be joined by special guests including former contestants from “The Voice,” Preston Pohl and Josh Logan, as well as Serena Henry who has performed alongside Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson.
Black recently released his EP “Lost and Found.” Recorded throughout 2014 at Black's BBSoul Studios in Las Vegas, the record is a nostalgic mix of 1980s and 1990s R&B. “Lost and Found” sets the foundation for Black's “BBSoul Trilogy,” the distinctive releases all reflecting a period in the songwriter's life. The second release is planned for February 2015.
COMMONWEALTH HOLDS UGLY ORNAMENT CONTEST
Commonwealth cocktail bar downtown is hosting an ugly ornament contest Dec. 1-18, awarding the winner a cash prize of $2,000, with $500 going to the charity of their choice. Participants may enter the contest in groups or individually, and must create an original ugly ornament to be photographed and posted to all Commonwealth social media platforms. Ornament enthusiasts must bring their creations to Commonwealth and complete an entry form in order to participate. In order to vote for their the favorite ugly ornament, patrons may comment and tag a friend on the photo of their choice on Commonwealth's Facebook or Instagram profiles, and re-tweet their favorites via Twitter. Each ornament will be displayed in the downstairs lounge area of the bar as part of Commonwealth's holiday décor. The winner will be announced at an Ugly Ornament Holiday Party at Commonwealth on Saturday, Dec. 20.

The Riviera is holding their second Toy D-RIV-E. Folks who drop off a new, unwrapped toy (minimum value of $10) to the Riviera Box Office Dec. 1-11 will receive one complimentary ticket to an upcoming comedy show at the award-winning Riviera Comedy Club or comedian Matt Kazam's “40 Is Not The New 20.” Donated toys will benefit HELP of Southern Nevada.

After a race season fueled by the new Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup format, NASCAR will return to Las Vegas for its annual postseason celebration of first-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick. HEADLINERS BASH NAMES MAC KING ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR
Comedy-Magician Mac King, who has been headlining his afternoon show at Harrah's for 15 years, was named “Entertainer of the Year” on Friday, Nov. 21 at Win-Win Entertainment's Headliners Bash 2014 presented by the John C. Kish Foundation. Las Vegas' top entertainers and headliners gathered in the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio to raise funds for the nonprofit organization.

Comedienne and actress Danielle Stewart will be the comedic co-host for the “2015 AVN Awards,” the annual adult industry show produced by AVN Media Network. The anticipated event will take place at The Joint in the Hard Rock on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015. Stewart is best known for her live standup shows and for appearances on E! Entertainment's “Chelsea Lately,” Playboy TV, the Disney Channel, and Hulu's “Comedy Brew.”
Adult superstars Alexis Texas and Tommy Pistol will co-host the 32nd annual AVN Awards with Stewart.
