If you are visiting Las Vegas you're looking for a good time, you must include some comedy! Las Vegas offers more comedy than any other city in the world! Comics that are household names or comics on their way to being household names... take your pick!

He rants, therefore he is! Dennis Miller is appearing at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, July 20th and 21st. Launching his 9th hit season on HBO with "Dennis Miller, Live" the Emmy-winning comedian is very much at home on stage performing for a live audience. What an audience expects is what they get.. a scathing perspective and one of the sharpest wits out there! Miller concludes his famous acid-tongued rants with the same disclaimer every time: "Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong." And, he means what he says. His topical tirades are notorious for their biting cynicism and intelligence. As on HBO, his live performance is uncensored, unbridled and pure Dennis Miller.

Penn and Teller are appearing at in the Samba Theater at the Rio Hotel & Casino through August 31st. The eccentric pair of comedy / magicians has been performing their hilarious brand of humor since 1975 and their still great friends! Of course, perhaps that's because one doesn't speak! With flying knives, jagged bottles, snipping scissors and a chopper, Penn and Teller perform tricks that are puzzles, if not mysteries. This unique partnership which serves as Visiting Scholars at MIT and lectures at the Smithsonian Institute and Oxford University, offer a show filled with dedicated showmanship as well as an intriguing intellectual challenge to audiences of all ages. Penn and Teller were named two of the funniest people alive in Entertainment Weekly's "50 Greatest Comedians Today," and should not be missed!

The Scintas present their distinctive "comedy with a twist" in the Masquerade Showroom at the Rio Hotel & Casino. The versatile and very talented family-foursome has just signed a multi-year extension to their contract. Their full-scale production show brings heart-warming humor, great vocals, impressions and lots of fun.

The Comedy Stop at the Tropicana has a powerful show this week that offers the best of stand-up comedy! "With all the comics on the scene today, it's very difficult to find one that is as unique, bizarre and completely entertaining as Greg Morton," says Comedy Stop producer, Bob Kephart. "I consider Greg a true find because at the end of each of his shows, audiences are exhausted and most often can't believe what they have just experienced!" Appearing with Morton are fellow headliners Ron Shock, a storyteller proclaimed as "a modern-day Will Rogers" and Kevin Knox who takes the very foolish to the very absurd! Shows are at 8:00 (non-smoking) and 10:30 p.m., nightly.

Amazing Johnathan appears at the Golden Nugget Tuesdays through Sundays at 10 pm. The "Freddie Kruger of Comedy," as he's been dubbed, takes comedy magic to new heights. In the past few years, his new assistant and partner, Psychic Tanya, has been a wonderful addition to his show. She plays the perfect foil to his misdirected illusions and is so superbly funny that audiences are going crazy for this new comic partnership. If you haven't witnessed this new dynamic duo...DON'T MISS IT!

Talk to you next week! Until then, be sure to keep laughing because LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE for all that ails us!
