FIRST TENANTS ANNOUNCED FOR NON-GAMING LINQ PROJECT!
With 70 percent of the $550 million Linq project committed, the first tenants reveal an eclectic nature to the attraction-ladened, non-gaming development currently under construction between the Flamingo and Imperial Palace, which is being renamed The Quad. Caesars Entertainment is going after the Gen X and Gen Y demographics with this new outdoor destination.
Dining options will include a branch of Yard House with existing locations in Town Square and Red Rock Resort, and The Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, which used to have a location inside the Rio. Other restaurants will include: Chayo Mexicano with indoor-outdoor seating; pizzeria Flour & Barley; Asian themed F.A.M.E., which stands for food, art, music and entertainment; Off the Strip Italian bistro; and throw in Sprinkles, a cupcake and ice cream chain making its Las Vegas debut.
So far the retail scene will feature Bella Scarpa, a women's shoe store chain, KOTO, a unique gift shop, and Ruby Blue with women's accessories already and an outlet already at Mandalay Bay named Ruby Blue.

BROOKLYN BOWL WILL BE A PART OF THE LINQ
Another Linq tenant will be Brooklyn Bowl, a restaurant that includes a performance area that can accommodate audiences of more than 2,000 and 32 lanes of bowling. The Linq location, which will cover 77,000 square feet over three levels in the middle of the Linq project, will be the first outside of New York and the bowling aspect with 16 lanes on the ground level and 16 upstairs won't be for traditional league play. The venue will be open during the day for families wanting to bowl or eat, and then at night offer live acts with late-night DJs during the weekends.
Brooklyn Bowl's culinary partner is Blue Ribbon Restaurants with local representation at the Cosmopolitan with Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill.
WET 'N' WILD WILL RETURN AT NEW LOCATION
Next summer people will once again be able to cool down at a water-theme park like they used to do when Wet 'n' Wild was open on the Strip next to the Sahara from 1985 – 2004.
The new $50 million, 41-acre park will be located in the southwest part of the valley at 7055 S. Fort Apache Road near the Las Vegas Beltway and Sunset Road. Opening next May, it will feature more than 25 slides and attractions, including North America's first Rattler slide and also Canyon Cliffs with a gut-wrenching 60-foot free fall at speeds up to 33 feet per second.
AMERICAN CONEY ISLAND OPENS AT THE D DOWNTOWN
American Coney Island, the oldest family-owned business in Detroit, will open its first out-of-state location at the D Las Vegas downtown on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Founder Gust Keros coined the phrase “Coney Dog” and introduced the now legendary treat to the city of Detroit in 1917. The high-quality, specially seasoned, natural-casing Dearborn sausage brand hotdog is topped with the Keros family secret recipe Coney Island Chili Sauce, and served in a warm steamed bun. American Coney Island has been featured on “The Today Show,” Iron Chef Michael Symon's “Food Feuds” on the Food Network and The Travel Channel's “Food Wars.” The restaurant will be open 24/7.
GARRETT POPCORN SHOPS OPENS FIRST LAS VEGAS LOCATION

TOM COLICCHIO WILL OPEN NEW RESTAURANT AT THE MIRAGE
Tom Colicchio, renowned New York chef and head judge of Bravo's “Top Chef,” will open a new dinner restaurant at The Mirage next summer. The 250-seat restaurant will focus on meats prepared entirely over an open flame – from wood-burning ovens to charcoal grills. Colicchio's eatery will take the location currently occupied by Kokomo's, which will close in early 2013.
BLUE MAN GROUP 'JUMPS INTO' NEW SHOW AT MONTE CARLO
Blue Man Group is teaming up with Red Bull Air Force to celebrate the launch of its latest production opening at the Monte Carlo on Wednesday, Oct. 10. To launch the occasion, Blue Man Group will skydive into their new home at 10 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. head inside to the Monte Carlo Theatre to flip a switch and illuminate the theatre entrance. The public is invited and encouraged to attend these events.
'DA VINCI – THE GENIUS' EXHIBIT EXTENDED AT VENETIAN
“Da Vinci – The Genius” exhibit ($5 exhibit discount available here) at the Venetian that opened this summer will now be on display through January. The display with more than 200 pieces features in-depth explorations of da Vinci's work as an inventor, artist, anatomist, sculptor, engineer, musician and architect.
Recently, a brand new da Vinci authenticated discovery, the mold and original bronze cast of the only known da Vinci sculpture surviving today, “Horse and Rider,” has been added to the collection. Folks can visit the gift shop without touring the exhibit that opens daily at 10 a.m.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is teaming with Monster Mayhem to present haunted attraction – Bloody English – which will transform Body English into a Victorian London-themed Halloween destination from Friday, Oct. 12, through Oct. 31. The experience will start at the top level and continue through sectioned vignettes leading into the main floor. Tickets start at $18.
BELLAGIO'S CONSERVATORY HIGHLIGHTS THE AUTUMN SPIRIT
The sights, scents and sounds of the harvest season have arrived at Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. On display through Nov. 24, the captivating fall exhibition boasts a bevy of seasonal visuals, including a 40- foot-tall authentic cider mill, a 1920s vintage wine press, an aged stone face, a 15-foot-tall scarecrow and a 20-foot-tall talking tree showered with wine grapes. Also in the south garden, visitors can enjoy live harp, violin and cello music daily from 5– 6 p.m.

EXOTICS RACING UNVEILS NEW PRIVATE TRACK
Exotics Racing has completed a new private race track at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The track design affords the ability to run in different configurations. The longest and most commonly run configuration is 1.4 miles in length with 11 different turns and an 1,800 foot straight-away. There is also a 1.2 mile configuration allowing drivers the opportunity to maintain higher speeds with one section having some change in elevation.
HYDE BELLAGIO ADDS JEREMY CORNWELL ON THURSDAYS
Local favorite Jeremy Cornwell is filling Hyde Bellagio with music every Thursday evening from 8 –11 p.m. with the Fountains of Bellagio dancing in the background.
