The Aquarius will host a performance with today's country music star Trisha Yearwood on Saturday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. at the 3,300-seat Aquarius Outdoor Amphitheater. Ticket prices start at $30, call 800-435-8469.

Yearwood whose larger-than-life voice has helped define contemporary country music will perform songs from her new album "Jasper County." Over the course of her career, she's released 10 albums and scored 20 top-10 hits.

Listeners responded to Yearwood's lustrous voice from the moment they first heard it 14 years ago. Yearwood's No. 1 hits include titles such as "She's In Love With the Boy, "That's What I Like About You" and "A Perfect Love." Yearwood's 10 MCA albums to date include four Gold Record winners including "The Sweetest Gift," "Everybody Knows," and "Real Live Woman." She has won back-to-back CMA awards as Female Vocalist of the Year and has been honored with three Grammy Awards.

One of the promotions being offered at the Riverside through Oct. 31 is the six-pack giveaway where guests may earn coupons for 6-packs of Coors, Coors Light, Riverside Light, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or bottled water by playing their favorite casino games.

Winners must present their 6-pack coupons within 24 hours along with valid photo ID to the King of Clubs Players' Club booth to receive their 6-pack redemption certificates, which may be redeemed at the "6-Pack Giveaway Redemption Center" from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. each day.

Another promotion through Sept. 30 is the four-of-a-kind bonus. Hit any natural four 9's on quarter, 50 cent, and dollar or $5 video poker machines and you receive bonus pay. Kokopelli's Showroom at the Edgewater presents a rotating schedule of bands that perform Thursday through Saturday from 8 p.m. plus Sunday and Monday nights from 9 p.m. The showroom along the Colorado River provides free live bands that entertain with classic sounds. AA


Jonathan & Music Magic will hit the stage every Thursday through Monday from Sept. 6 -24. Audiences can expect to hear hits made famous by artists ranging from Luther Vandross and Frank Sinatra to The Beatles and No Doubt. Well-known as an international star, Jonathan Potenciano's rich vocal ability offers a distinctive style. The high-energy and fun-filled group includes Ann DeNovellis who captivates with her beautiful voice, Darryl Blouin, James Gallagher, Bobby Gonzales and Larry Esparaza who give it their all, playing and singing nightly.

NASCAR race parties have been held all season at the Colorado Belle in the property's Mardi Gras Room. Admission to the NASCAR parties is $10 per event and includes two drinks, stadium snacks and an entry to win official NASCAR merchandise in drawings. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are available at the One Club booth or at the door on the day of the event.

The two remaining races to be shown on big screen televisions after today's Nextel Cup Series 500 in Fonatana, Calif., will be the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 on Sept. 8, at Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Va., and the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 13, at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

Football season will take center stage on Sunday and Monday in the Losers' Lounge and poker room at the Riverside.

On Sundays, the free admission non-smoking events will have the doors open at 9 p.m. There will be three drawings every hour starting at 11 a.m. Drawing tickets can be earned with every $10 bet in the Race & Sports Book, and by purchasing beverage and concession items. There will be food and drink specials including $1.75 Coors draft beer.

On Mondays, the action begins with the doors opening at 5 p.m. for the free non-smoking football viewing. There will be weekly gift and cash prizes, and stadium food specials along with $1.75 Miller draft beer and other drink specials.

Also on Monday nights, there will be a Monday Night $21,000 Football Frenzy & Poker Pizza Party in the poker room staring at 5 p.m. There will be a $1,000 cash weekly giveaway, $5,000 Super Pool Jackpot and free pizza.
