SHAQUILLE O’NEAL KICKS OFF COMEDY JAM TOUR
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal will kick off his All-Star Comedy Jam Tour at Mandalay Bay on Friday, Sept. 2. The show will feature comedians Bruce Bruce, Gary Owen and Corey Holcomb. Additionally, the performance will be filmed for “All-Star Comedy Jam Backstage,” a reality show produced and distributed by Codeblack Entertainment.

RODNEY CARRINGTON RETURNS TO MGM GRAND
Multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer Rodney Carrington will return to the Hollywood Theatre at MGM Grand Oct. 25-30 and Dec. 4-10 at 10 p.m. with his stand-up comedy show. The comedian's performances coincide with the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) World Finals and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR), respectively.
Carrington released his debut album “Hangin’ with Rodney” in 1998 and has since recorded seven major record label comedy albums, selling more than three million copies. He starred in his own TV sitcom “Rodney” for two seasons on ABC. In addition, Carrington co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film “Beer for My Horses.”

HENDERSON HOSTS MARINE CORPS IRONMAN CHAMPIONSHIP
After five years in Clearwater, Florida, the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) will move one of its most prestigious events, the Marine Corps Ironman World Championship 70.3, to Henderson on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 6:30 a.m. at Loews Lake Las Vegas. More than 1,800 domestic and international triathletes will qualify for the race that represents the culmination of more than 50 global qualifying events. Spectator admission is complimentary.
‘FAMOUS VEGAS WEDDING CHAPEL’ OPENS ON STRIP
The new “Famous Vegas Wedding Chapel” that opened at the beginning of this month is in The Gold Key Center near Wynn and Encore on the Strip in a plaza currently undergoing rejuvenation. The location had previously been the site of a wedding chapel, and the adjoining 1,050-square-foot suite, can easily be transformed into a banquet facility.
The chapel currently offers more than 18 different wedding packages - in all price ranges and you can design your own.
BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY PERFORMS AT ORLEANS

Seven-member Big Bad Voodoo Daddy arrived on the music scene in 1993 with a legendary residency at the Brown Derby Nightclub in Los Angeles. In 1996, the band rocketed to fame after performing two of their songs, “You & Me and the Bottle Makes Three (Tonight)” and “Go Daddy-O,” in the hit movie “Swingers.” Since then, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy has performed for three U.S. presidents and at the 1999 Super Bowl halftime show. They have also written theme music for ESPN, “The Carson Daly Show” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.”
PEACE FROG LEAPS INTO HENDERSON WITH DOORS TRIBUTE
Peace Frog, a tribute to The Doors founded 14 years ago will perform at the Henderson Events Plaza on Friday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. and open the fall season of the city's signature series, ArtBeat presented by Target. The free special concert, which comes 40 years following the loss of The Doors' legendary lead vocalist Jim Morrison, honors the first American band to accumulate eight consecutive gold and platinum albums, as well as sell more than 100 million albums worldwide and to be inducted into, both, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002.
PRIMM VALLEY LINES UP NAME ENTERTAINMENT
Star of the Desert Arena at Buffalo Bill's in Primm, Nev., is a real good bet for seeing top line headliners at really reasonable prices and it's only a 30 to 40-minute drive from Las Vegas. VEGAS HAS AWARD WINNING RESORTS

HENDERSON PREPARES FOR SUPER RUN CAR SHOW
The City of Henderson announced it will offer complimentary shuttle service to and from this year's Super Run Classic Car Show. The service will be available Sept. 23 and 24 from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., and will run on a continuous loop to three locations. Super Run attracts more than 100,000 people to the Water Street District to see up to 1,000 classic cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles on display, as well as enjoy a variety of full throttle competitions including burn outs and roaring engines contests. Recognized as Southern Nevada's largest car show, Super Run will also include nightly concerts by oldies group The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards and Against the Grain, a popular local country act. Spectator admission is complimentary.

Chef Geno Bernardo from Nove Italiano at the Palms will kick off the fall season for Project Dinner Table on Saturday, Sept. 10. The popular dinner series will showcase the El Cortez's outdoor event space, the Jackie Gaughan Plaza, and the dinner will benefit The Animal Foundation. Since Project Dinner Table's launch in April 2010, every dinner table has been full.

On Sept. 11, 343 firefighters and emergency personnel will climb the stairs of the Stratosphere Tower starting at 9 a.m. to honor the 343 firefighters and paramedics killed in the 9-11 terrorist attacks. HOWARD JONES PERFORMS AT FREMONT STREET
The Fremont Street Experience downtown will offer free entertainment all Labor Day weekend and on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 9 p.m. Howard Jones will put on a free concert. Jones is an English musician who first burst on to the contemporary music scene in 1983 with his first single “New Song.”
1960S REUNION - HERMAN's HERMITS AND THE TURTLES
The Cannery will feature two of the biggest acts from the 1960s; Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone and The Turtles, featuring Flo and Eddie at The Club on Sept. 17. Tickets start at $19.95.

FRIGHT DOME AT CIRCUS CIRCUS
Created by “hauntrepreneur” Jason Egan, Fright Dome at Circus Circus has been horrifying more than 60,000 yearly visitors since 2003. Spread throughout five acres, the haunted theme park features dark, fog-filled attractions complete with ghoulish and gore-clad professional actors. In addition, Fright Dome will partner with Compass Films International to theme two of its five haunted houses after the legendary horror film “HALLOWEEN.”
