RINGO STARR AND HIS ALL STARR BAND STOP AT THE PALMS
Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band will celebrate the end of a two-month Latin American Tour with a two-night stop as their only U.S. dates in Las Vegas at The Pearl inside the Palms on Nov. 22 and 23. This announcement comes on the heels of the UMe Worldwide DVD release, “Ringo at the Ryman,” a live performance filmed at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Starr's birthday last July 7 and during the group's summer tour. The beach concert series at Mandalay Bay will start up on Saturday, May 11 at 9:30 p.m. with multi-platinum, country music artist Gary Allan. Tickets are $35. INAUGURAL SPRINGS PRESERVE OHANA FESTIVAL PLANNED MAY
The inaugural Ohana Festival celebrating the music, food and culture of Hawaii and Polynesia will take place at the Springs Preserve on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature performances by local hula, beginner hula lessons, lei making, crafts and games for kids, plenty of food and will culminate with a concert by The Kalama Brothers - Ryan Keau and Kai, who released their debut CD, “Keau,” last year under the Maui Tribe Records label. A local couple is creating CraftHaus Brewery by utilizing Kickstarter.com for funding to create the first open concept brewery and taproom combination in Las Vegas. Country music singer Chris Cagel, rising star Chris Janson, and the local Tony Marques Band will headline the seventh Country in the Park outdoor concert and festival on Saturday, May 11.
