OFFERING MUCH ‘GAY-ITY,’ DRINK & DRAG OPENS DOWNTOWN
The nation's first drag queen staffed bar and gaming venue, Drink & Drag will celebrate its official grand opening on Saturday, May 5. The 22,000-square-foot venue featuring 12 bowling lanes, billiards, 100-inch projector HD console gaming, interactive gaming chairs, air hockey, table-top board games, jewel-encrusted chandeliers, lounge seating and more is located downtown on the second level of Neonopolis above the infamous Heart Attack Grill. It is the brain child of the gay nightclub Krave owner. Drink & Drag is employing 24 full-time drag queens.

CHEF MASA TAKAYAMA DEBUTS TEPPAN RESTAURANT
This August, Forbes and Michelin-decorated Chef Masa Takayama will introduce the first teppan concept to his culinary repertoire. Tetsu located at ARIA is replacing Shaboo that closed April 28 and will be an intimate and interactive dining experience highlighting Chef Masa's passion for fine Japanese grilling.
Inside the restaurant will be barMASA with four blackjack-style tables and two communal teppan grill tables seating 20 and 19, respectively. Highly skilled teppanyaki chefs will oversee the evening's culinary entertainment. A produce table will serve as the room's centerpiece and allow guests to hand select the proteins of their entrée.
Tetsu will be open Wednesday through Sunday 5 - 11 p.m. Guests will enter Tetsu through barMASA, located adjacent to the ARIA lobby.
PBR ROCK BAR & GRILL UNVEILS ROCK BAR
Strip-side PBR Rock Bar & Grill inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood has a new Rock Bar located at the front entrance featuring floor-to-ceiling bookcases, bar and dance platforms for dancing, a DJ, and high-top furniture.
‘JAY BOLAN ACOUSTIC RETRO ROCK SHOW’ OPENS AT FOUR QUEENS
The “Jay Bolan Acoustic Retro Rock Show” is opening at the Canyon Club Show Room in the Four Queens downtown. To celebrate, the 9 p.m. show on May 2 will be free with tickets at the box office. The show runs Sunday through Wednesday at 9 p.m. and features the masterful voice and guitar of Jay Bolan. He can play 1,000 songs upon request and no two shows are alike. Tickets are $15.
FIRST FOOD & BAR STARTS MONTHLY ‘FARM TO STRIP’ DINNER
Executive Chef Sam “Sammy D” DeMarco will start a special two-night monthly “Farm to Strip” dinner at FIRST Food & Bar in the Palazzo. The first two offerings will be May 11 and 12, followed by June 1 and 2 and other dates to be announced. What will make the dinners different is Chef Sammy D will shop at the Downtown3rd Farmers Market on Friday for locally grown, organic ingredients and create a meal for six to eight people. CAESARS PALACE HOLDS WORLD SERIES OF POKER WARM UP
Caesars Palace has released the schedule for the 2012 World Series of Poker Warm-Up Series set to begin Friday, May 4, visit WSOP.com/2012. Thirty-three events, with more than $365,000 in guaranteed prize pools, will be played across 17 days, culminating in a final Wild Card Weekend tournament with at least one $25,300 seat to the Big One for One Drop Mega Satellite event guaranteed.

MAY's FIRST FRIDAY PRESENTS ‘THE ART OF SCIENCE’
First Friday on May 4 from 6-11 p.m. is partnering with the second
Las Vegas Science Festival. During the night, attendees will be able to participate in the building of a 15-foot tall Trojan unicorn made out of plastic bottles collected by Zappos.com employees. Attendees will also be able to lend a hand and put the finishing touches on the statue by writing personal notes on other trash collected.
In addition to all the regular art and entertainment offerings, artist Edgar Herrera will display his aerosol skills when he transforms a 1987 Mercedes Benz sedan into the official First Friday mobile. Plus at 8 and 9 p.m., characters from “Empire,” Spiegelworld's latest creation, will be gracing Get Back Alley with a sneak peak of the new show, which will open in New York City.

CINCO DE MAYO EVENTS ARE PLENTIFUL
Señor Frog's Restaurant Bar & Clothesline at Treasure Island will hold its grand opening starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, with a Cinco de Mayo fiesta. At 9 p.m., the restaurant and bar will attempt to set a record for the world's largest tequila toast, sponsored by the “World's Most Awarded Tequila” Ambhar Tequila, and presided over by media personality Robin Leach.
