Polly Esther's nightclub will open its first mega club in Las Vegas and bring all of its signature nightclubs under one roof at the Stratosphere inside the main entrance this month.

Polly Esther's combines four clubs, depicting four separate eras under one roof. The highly successful signature clubs of "Polly Esther's," "Culture Club" and "Nerve Ana" are popular throughout North America and are renowned for their extremely detailed decade themed venues. Polly Esther's Las Vegas will also debut "Suite 2000," an ultra lounge themed around this decade and specially designed for the neon city.

The facility will be one-story, 26,000 square-feet with a capacity for 1,300 people, and will feature state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, lit dance floors, live shows and DJ music every night with frequent special events throughout the week. Each room will have different hours of operation and cover charge rates throughout the week.

The first Polly Esther's Nightclub opened in New York City in 1991 and has since expanded to15 more locations.

The signature clubs of Polly Esther's, Culture Club and Nerve Ana will of course feature the trademark elements of its predecessor locations - larger-than-life statues and murals of icons such as John Travolta and Sharon Stone, shrines guests can have fun with such as a Brady Bunch display where one can step into Alice's place and a white Ford Bronco a la OJ Simpson to sit in, a "Back to the Future" DeLorean suspended from the ceiling, imposters such as Bill Clinton working the crowd, a Partridge Family bus converted into a bar, themed cocktails in every room, and much more.

Nightlife and dining pacesetter Pure Management Group is expanding its business with the addition of Lucky Strike Lanes inside the Rio. Set to open in March, the new high octane venue will feature a 10-lane bowling alley and full-service restaurant and bar that will be open daily for people of all ages from week from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m. .

Lucky Strike Lanes will offer everything from bowling and having a drink at the bar to dining with the family and enjoying a nightlife alternative to the typical nightclub. The place will be outfitted with a red brick facade featuring oversized, retro bowling photographs both inside and outside. The bowling alley will have oversized couches and a gigantic neon-lit, script-lettered Las Vegas sign that will radiate light over the black-lit lanes. The venue will house state-of-the-art technology including five projection screens, which will descend from a cascading, wave-patterned white ceiling, and feature score screens with picture-in-picture, perfect for viewing sporting events while also keeping track of bowlers.

The 25-seat mahogany bar will sit opposite the bowling alley and flank a 156-seat dining area. The full-service bar will be complete with an illuminated amber-lit bar top, silver swivel stools and feature four flat-screen plasma televisions and a digital jukebox in the corner.

Evanescence, the Grammy award-winning alternative band, will add to the musical history of Las Vegas on March 17, when they become one of the first bands to take the stage of the new concert theater The Pearl at The Palms. Tickets are $49.50; call Ticketmaster 702-474-4000.

The official grand opening of The Pearl will take place April 21, at 9:00 p.m. and feature Gwen Stefani, who began her career as the lead singer of the multi-platinum, Grammy award winning band No Doubt. Tickets, which go on sale Feb. 10, are $100, $150, $250 and a limited number of VIP tickets are also available, call 702-474-4000.

The venue with an audience capacity ranging from 1,100 to 2,500, will have the furthest seat a mere 120 feet away from the stage thus offering the ultimate in concert viewing luxury. The Pearl will also feature 18 private and semi-private sky boxes with exclusive bars and restrooms.

"Hard Candy" is the theme for Golden Rainbow's second "Naked Hearts" Valentine's Day "strip" show, where the sexiest performers from the Las Vegas Strip's shows come together to stage an enticing nightclub event for charity. The fun will take place inside the Chippendales Theater at the Rio on Feb. 14. Tickets are $20 and $50 for VIP, call 702-384-2899. Doors open at 11 p.m.

"Naked Hearts" will feature original live performances by cast members of Las Vegas production shows including "Chippendales," "Fantasy,""Folies Bergere," "Jubilee!" "La Cage," and "O." More entertainment will be provided by Missy Cochran Entertainment, MGM Grand Productions / Studio 54, the Rio's Masquerade Village Show in the Sky and Bevertainers.

Due to overwhelming response, Jamie Foxx is adding a second show to his Unpredictable Tour - night of comedy and music at the Aladdin / Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Feb. 17. His first full-length solo music album, "Unpredictable" (on J Records), topped the charts in late December 2005 and early 2006. It held the No. 1 spot for five weeks and sold more than one million units in 20 days. In 2005, Foxx earned two Grammy Award nominations, one for his single, "Creepin'," on the album "So Amazing: An All-Star Tribute to Luther Vandross," and another for his work with Kanye West on the single "Gold Digger." Las Vegas Hilton headliner Barry Manilow will host a benefit concert for City of Hope in the Hilton Theater Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m. The night will celebrate the hard work and dedication of the physicians and scientists at City of Hope, who are redefining the future of medicine.

Tiffany & Co. plans to open a second store in Las Vegas at The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace late this summer. The new store will be configured on two levels, with spacious jewelry salons. The first Las Vegas store opened at the Bellagio in 1998.

The producers of "Defending the Caveman," originally set to open on Saturday, Feb.10 at the Steve Wyrick Theater, have postponed their Las Vegas debut until further notice.

"Defending the Caveman" has been seen in more than 30 countries and translated into 16 different languages. It is an insightful play about the ongoing misunderstandings between men and women.

A two-day concert will present the biggest names in music from China and the United States at the Aladdin / Planet Hollywood on Feb. 13 and 14. FU·SION 2007 is a two-night music spectacular honoring the Chinese New Year. Tickets for Tuesday's show range from $58 to $188, and for Wednesday from $60 to $155, call 877-333-9474.


George Lopez, who will be headlining at the Las Vegas Hilton March 2-3, will be hosting the Bob Hope Desert Golf Classic for the first time. Lopez plays golf and now boasts an 11 handicap.

Known simply as "Uncle Lar," Larry Reeb is the wisecracking black sheep, politically incorrect relative everyone knows, and he has been booked for a return engagement at the Riviera Comedy Club, Feb. 12 - 19. Reeb has appeared with Tim Allen, Jay Leno, Kenny G, Elvis Costello, Richard Lewis, Paul Shaffer, Richard Belzer and Michael Bolton, amongst many others.

Sam's Town Live! is hosting free wrestling viewing parties throughout the whole year. Some of the upcoming WWE events are: No Way Out on Feb. 18; WrestleMania 23 on April 1; Backlash on April 29; Judgement Day on May 20; ECW: One Night Stand on June 10; and Vengeance on June 24.

O'Sheas comedian headliner Vinnie Favorito was a guest panelist on an episode of the comedic series, "Comics Unleashed" that aired yesterday on the CW network. "Comics Unleashed" is a nightly comedy show where a panel of four comedians discuss whatever comes to mind with host Byron Allen.

The Riviera's Syn City nightclub is a party every Wednesday though Sunday starting at midnight. Each night is themed: Wednesday is Rhythm and Blues; Thursday is Spanish Rock; Friday is International Night; Saturday is strictly Latin; and Sunday is Top 40. The club's slogan is "Bring Only Your Temptation," and the atmosphere is enhanced by devilishly-costumed cocktail waitresses, who also oblige for photo ops.

Station Casinos has announced its headlining concert events at its non-Strip properties for 2007. Currently on the schedule are more than 40 artists. Some of the upcoming headliners include: Grammy award winner James Ingram at Green Valley Ranch on Feb. 10; Gary Puckett on Feb. 9, NBA basketball player and jazz artist Wayman Tisdale on Feb. 16 and 17, comedienne Paula Poundstone on Feb. 23, and country star Terri Clark on Feb. 24 at Boulder Station; Kevin Eubanks from the "Tonight Show" band on Feb. 10 at Santa Fe Station; plus R&B artist Keith Sweat on Feb. 10, and The Oak Ridge Boys on Feb. 16 at Texas Station.

More names coming up include: Loverboy, Blue Oyster Cult, Ty Herndon, The Gatlin Brothers in March, followed by Eddie Money, Sawyer Brown, and Isaac Hayes in April. For information, call 702-547-5300.

Spago, Las Vegas was named "Best Power Lunch" and "Best Desserts" at the 2007 "Las Vegas Life" Epicurean Awards on Jan. 23, at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel. This marks the forth-consecutive year Spago received the Epicurean Award for "Best Power Lunch" and the first win in the category of "Best Desserts."

Social house located inside Treasure Island and atop the Tangerine nightclub was named "Best New Restaurant on the Strip" at the Epicurean Awards. Social House, which opened last September, is the first dining establishment from nightlife and dining pacesetter Pure Management Group (PMG).

The second annual Five Star Awards will honor innovators in the beverage and food industry at the "The Show," a nightclub and bar convention in Las Vegas, on March 4 at Caesars Palace. Among the Las Vegas winners are the ghostbar at The Palms for Best Promotion On-Premise, which was Gossip Tuesdays, Mixologist of the Year - Tony Abou-Ganim, who moved to Las Vegas to create the Bellagio's opening cocktail program, and the Hard Rock Café for Best Casual Dining Beverage Program.

In celebration of the SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand's newly received 2007 AAA Five Diamond Award, the luxury property is introducing two Diamond Indulgence Packages.

The Diamonds are Forever Engagement Package presents the ultimate wedding proposal experience and a $20,000 per couple price tag. The two-night stay will include dinner for two at MGM Grand's Joël Robuchon, a 2007 AAA Five Diamond and 2007 Mobil Five-Star Award recipient, and a $1,000 beverage credit for a bottle of celebratory bubbly or wine to pair with a 16-course dinner. The SKYLOFTS' Five Diamond Package is the ultimate getaway for a group, accommodating six guests in a three-bedroom Loft. The $33,000 package has many of the same features except for the watches and instead a gourmet dinner for six prepared in the Loft by the talented chefs at Craftsteak.

Local magician Steve Dacri will celebrate 35 years of performing at the esteemed Magic Castle in Hollywood, Feb. 5 - 11.

Vegas magician Nathan Burton will make a special appearance on VH1's "The Surreal Life Fame Games" on Sunday, Feb. 11, when he will teach magic to stars on the reality show. The cast will be split into two teams, with one team coached by Burton and the other by local physical comedian Joe Trammel. They will compete against each other in performing a magic spot during "V - The Ultimate Variety show" in the V Theater at the Aladdin's Desert Passage. Burton's team will consist of former professional wrestler Joanie "Chyna Doll" Laurer, "Webster's" Emmanuel Lewis, "Austin Powers'" Verne Troyer and "Baywatch's" Tracy Bingham. The show will be hosted by the certified bearer of champagne wishes and caviar dreams, Mr. Robin Leach.

Burton gained national recognition last summer as the most featured magician on NBC's hit, "America's Got Talent," with six prime-time performances. His "Nathan Burton Comedy Magic" show opened in May of 2006 in the V Theater.

The Hofbräuhaus, which is an authorized reproduction of the original centuries-old Hofbräuhaus beer hall in Munich, recently began pouring a special draft beer that originates in Germany. Only 50 kegs of the rare Double Bock brew that contains eight percent alcohol have been obtained. This beer is only being sold in 10- and 17-ounce steins.

Last month, Josette's Bistro restaurant announced that it will hold its first Golf Classique benefit on March 12. The date has been changed to Oct. 15.
