Let's just suppose you actually enjoy the whole shopping experience -- I mean the old fashioned way where you actually go to a mall to shop! Not that I'm not a fan of cyber shopping, because I've certainly done my share. But, there's something about the energy that you get in a crowded regional or outlet mall. And, what a perfect time of year to do it! All the favorite retailers are vying for their share of your holiday spend. You just have to do your due diligence and map out your strategy to get the most bang out of your budgeted holiday buck!
In Southern Nevada, there are almost too many shopping destinations to mention. Let's focus on the three fabulous outlet centers. One on each end of the Strip corridor, Premium Outlets South and Premium Outlets North. Both are easily accessible by local taxi or even local bus transportation (www.rtcsnv.com). Both of these shopping options offer additional savings by joining their shopping club where you will also be kept in the loop on special offers and upcoming events. Premium Outlets South, located at the far end of Las Vegas Blvd., boasts 140 designer brands. Premium Outlets North is actually located downtown Las Vegas and has over 150 brands. Parking is at a premium at this location so public transportation will be a much easier way to go. For mall hours and store listings, visit www.premiumoutlets.com.

Our last outlet center, but certainly not least, is Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas located in Primm, NV. This is an excellent shopping option particularly for our visitors driving in from Southern California. It is easy access off the freeway at Exit 1 at the California/Nevada border. This shopping destination offers deep discounts at over 100 designer brands. The thing I like best about this location is the fully-enclosed, climate controlled experience. It is also very easy to navigate as it is a single-story, racetrack design. Fashion Outlets also has a shopping club for additional discounts and advance notice of upcoming sales. Unfortunately, bus transportation is not available from Las Vegas to this location so be sure to stop on your way into town. For more information about Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas, visit www.fashionoutlets.com.
Our friends in the north have their own outlets to be proud of, the Outlets at Sparks. This location was formerly called Legends. The name was changed not long ago, stores and restaurants were added. Now the Outlets at Sparks has over 60 stores and restaurants conveniently located off of Scheels Drive in Sparks, NV. If you visit their website at www.outletsatsparks.com, you will quickly see that they are celebrating with their “Savings that Sparkle” campaign just in time for the holidays. This is an outdoor shopping experience that is small enough to enjoy and large enough to do some serious buying. And, like other outlets, they will try to entice you with their shopping club for even more discounts and savings.
No matter what your shopping pleasure, there is definitely savings in the Outlets! For more information about these shopping destinations and more, visit www.travelnevada.com.
