In an overblown theater facility at the Texas Station, more than 1,600 paying guests whistled, hollered, hooted, applauded, stomped their feet and even barked for her "doggie," etc. as Patti Page's clear voice, backed by six superb musicians, rang out hit after hit. Patti has recorded more than 80 albums, 111 hits, 15 gold singles, four gold albums and received a Grammy in 1998. I lost count as, Rich Little and "Godfather" songwriter, Johnny Farrow cheered her on. It was a well-spend musical and clear-sounding lyrics evening which included several standing ovations. Patti's gracious husband, Jerry, came on stage to hustle the Page Deli, featuring organic maple syrup, buttermilk pancake mix, pure maple syrup and more, all available in the lobby as Patti gave autographs and was photographed with fans...

"Legends In Concert" at Imperial Palace, center-"Strip," keeps the patriotism rolling throughout the month of July with the nightly "All-American" rockin' sounds of "The Boss," Bruce Springsteen, as performed by the talented Matt Ryan. Growling through a set of Springsteen's classics, such as "Fire," "Dancing In The Dark," "Born to Run" and "Hungry Heart," Ryan has them dancing in the seats, but it's "Born in the USA" that has the audiences singing loud and proud. Ryan's tribute is spectacular, joining the other current "Legends" cast members, Tina Turner, The Blues Brothers, Celine Dion, The Temptations and Elvis Presley, in the Imperial Theatre twice nightly, except Sundays.
