The first annual Las Vegas Comedy Festival was announced at the Stardust
May 29 by producers Mark Allen and Steve Caito...Kick off is September
4-8 at the Stardust where a Comedy Hall of Fame should be
instituted...Something like that is long overdue...Of course, Wayne
Newton was on hand to give his stamp of approval.
A bevy of celebs will be on hand June 14 at the Anthem Country Club in
Henderson for the Marilyn (Monroe) Children's Benefit...For details call
702-740-5297. It was a lonely turnout for the Saints and Sinners May 29,
but head honcho Sherry Levin promises better days. Comedian Pete
Barbutti did a super job and my thanks to John Martle (Pahrump's Win
Realty) for the helping hand. Public administrator Dan Ahlstrom (an old
friend) was on hand to shake hands. The Dino Crupis helped Rana Goodman
and myself celebrate our birthday at the Aladdin's superb Tremezzo
restaurant.. .Outstanding menu, sumptuous food and excellent service.

Former debonair Venetian maitre'd Shawn Tracy will take over Tuscany
when the casino is set to open in December.
Sunday morning TV featured 86-year-old Les Paul who performed Monday
nights at a NY jazz joint...We met in the early 50s with his then wife,
Mary Ford, at Chris' Rocket Club. A reminder, you may pick up our
Saturday radio show on WPNA 2:30 Chicago. Rock singer Stan Borys is
another celebrity moving to Las Vegas...He plans on being here within
the next 10 days...Borys is an international star who has won many, many
awards...On his latest CD he has 8 songs that he sings in both English
and in Polish, 7 in Polish.
Matt Ryan joins the amazing cast of "Legends In Concert," the largest
and original celebrity tribute spectacular at Imperial Palace, as "The
Boss," Bruce Springsteen. See him at 7:30 and 10:30 pm. nightly. His
tribute to Springsteen is the first on the Las Vegas "Strip!"
