The first annual Las Vegas Comedy Festival was announced at the Stardust May 29 by producers Mark Allen and Steve Caito...Kick off is September 4-8 at the Stardust where a Comedy Hall of Fame should be instituted...Something like that is long overdue...Of course, Wayne Newton was on hand to give his stamp of approval.

A bevy of celebs will be on hand June 14 at the Anthem Country Club in Henderson for the Marilyn (Monroe) Children's Benefit...For details call 702-740-5297. It was a lonely turnout for the Saints and Sinners May 29, but head honcho Sherry Levin promises better days. Comedian Pete Barbutti did a super job and my thanks to John Martle (Pahrump's Win Realty) for the helping hand. Public administrator Dan Ahlstrom (an old friend) was on hand to shake hands. The Dino Crupis helped Rana Goodman and myself celebrate our birthday at the Aladdin's superb Tremezzo restaurant.. .Outstanding menu, sumptuous food and excellent service.

Former debonair Venetian maitre'd Shawn Tracy will take over Tuscany when the casino is set to open in December.

Sunday morning TV featured 86-year-old Les Paul who performed Monday nights at a NY jazz joint...We met in the early 50s with his then wife, Mary Ford, at Chris' Rocket Club. A reminder, you may pick up our Saturday radio show on WPNA 2:30 Chicago. Rock singer Stan Borys is another celebrity moving to Las Vegas...He plans on being here within the next 10 days...Borys is an international star who has won many, many awards...On his latest CD he has 8 songs that he sings in both English and in Polish, 7 in Polish.

Matt Ryan joins the amazing cast of "Legends In Concert," the largest and original celebrity tribute spectacular at Imperial Palace, as "The Boss," Bruce Springsteen. See him at 7:30 and 10:30 pm. nightly. His tribute to Springsteen is the first on the Las Vegas "Strip!"
