Las Vegas producer Dick Foster, with the Peggy Lee family, has firmed a deal to develop a stage production based on the acclaimed performer's life and career. The show begins touring Australia and London's West End in May 2003 before the USA tour. The tentative title is "Is That All There Is?"...

Phyllis Diller's closing night showed rapid-fire delivery and dazzled a star-studded audience May 5 at the Suncoast. Celebrities in attendance included Ruta Lee, Phyllis McGuire, Marty Allen, Ruth Buzzi, Jerry Lewis, David Brenner (he opens at the Paris Hotel in June) and many others. I doubt that the "laff-a-minute" comedienne has really called it quits!...

Charo is back from her tour which included shows in Hawaii and a two-day cruise for Vitamin World Health Food Company... Sammy King and his parrot joined Charo at the Sahara, where they had to add on 5 feet to each side of the stage, as well as add lighting...

Ayala & Tanya are now performing their incredible magic at Caesar's Magical Empire in the Sultan's Palace... Any Wednesday at the Suncoast you can catch Boogie Knights... Don Rickles closes Sunday at the Stardust followed by Wayne Newton Monday through May 28...

The Imperial Palace's "Hawaiian Hot Luau" brings the spirit of "aloha" to the Shangri-La Pool every Tuesday and Thursday night, with Las Vegas' only authentic poolside luau. Featuring a lavish dinner buffet; unlimited mai tai, pina colada and fruit punch drinks, and a fantastic Polynesian show by Rozita Lee's "Drums of the Islands," the IP's luau is practically a mini-vacation within your vacation. Jump on stage for a hula lesson, hold your breath for the dangerous fire-knife dance, then sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of the islands, all for just $29.95, only at the Imperial Palace, center-"Strip"...

I finally visited the Polonez Restaurant on Maryland and Sahara. It's the first Polish restaurant in Las Vegas. Food is excellent, portions are generous and prices moderate. The walls are decorated with wonderfully intricate works of needlepoint, very different and very charming. Well worth a visit...

Down Branson's way in MO, Andy Williams and Glenn Campbell have paired up again at Andy's Moon River Theatre... Wonder what happened to super Elvis impersonator Johnny Harra. If anyone knows, please send an e-mail to rana0527@aol.com.
