Super Bowl weekend should be the wildest one ever... Gladys Knight has just inked a one-year deal at the Flamingo... Placido Domingo is already selling out for his March 16 date at Mandalay Bay's 3rd annual bash...

She's on "top of the world" now. Brigitte Valdez joins the incredible "Legends In Concert" cast at the Imperial Palace with her amazing tribute to the one and only Celine Dion. Having begun her career at the tender age of 13, Valdez has "paid her dues" through gigs including radio and TV appearances; back-up vocals for The Pharcyde, Benny Mardones, and Johnny Angel; and her own pop album, "Brigitte," recorded and released in Asia in 1996. Catch her on the Imperial Theatre stage along with other fabulous live tributes to such superstars as Tom Jones, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Liberace, The Temptations and Elvis Presley in "Legends In Concert," 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. nightly, except Sundays, at the Imperial Palace, center-"Strip"...

The Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival's first outing came off well. Joshua Abbey should take bows... Many people are still talking about comic drunk Foster Brooks who died at 89. I had the pleasure of doing my first interview with him at the Hilton in Perry Como's dressing room in July of '72... The music world lost another great, Peggy Lee, at age 81... Grammy polka band leader Eddie Blazoncyk may not make his late April gig here. He is seriously ill in a Chicago hospital...

All roads lead to Marlene Ricci's January 29 opening at the Riviera... The Lettermen take over the Suncoast stage January 31... A reminder, Debbie Reynolds returns to the Orleans February 6 and Patti Labelle comes into the Paris Hotel February 7... Tony Orlando is back here for 13 weeks at the Golden Nugget...

Valentines Day is February 14, don't forget your "closest squeeze." Catch KJUL 104.3 FM's remote at the Perfume Palace at Imperial Palace, right on the sidewalk, center-"Strip," on Valentines Day. Listeners can get free champagne and refreshments, while they shop, and a listener-discount on merchandise as well as participate in great prize drawings.
