"Backstage" is back home in the Auto Collections at the Imperial Palace now through Thanksgiving. Collections' owners Don Williams and Richie Clyne have teamed up to develop, for the collector-car hobby, the world's finest interactive collection.

For nearly 20 years, the Imperial Palace has gained world-wide attention with its impressive collection of antique and classic cars, also the Saturday night venue for this fine radio/TV show. With the innovation of the Auto Collections in 1999, visitors are still able to tour the facility daily, seeing more than 350 of the most impressive and famous automobiles ever produced. One of the interesting changes seen at the Auto Collections is that all of the vehicles on display are available for private purchase.

"The Auto Collections will make purchasing a desired collector car as simple as possible, whether the buyer is a veteran collector, with hundreds of cars in his garage, or just starting out," Williams said. "In the near future we plan to start offering on-site financing, special collector-car insurance and other services to help those in the hobby."

Another feature presented by The Auto Collections is the very popular annual sales event known worldwide as "The Auction."

However, with The Auto Collections open year round, those looking for a new addition to their own stable won't have to wait for The Auction. Located in the center of the fabulous Las Vegas "Strip," coming to visit The Auto Collections can be a part of a action-packed and entertainment-filled vacation.

Those who visit the collection will find a full-service staff on site to take care of everything from assisting with a personal inspection of vehicles of interest, verifying and relating each vehicle's authenticity and taking care of all the documents related to the transaction.

Recently, The Auto Collections also added a Franklin Mint Store, offering special collections in miniature. Visitors can see and purchase the Franklin Mint's vast offering of collectibles, from the authentically reproduced die-cast automobiles to those items that explore the realms of imagination from gothic fantasy to the Star Trek explorations.

The Automotive Collections at the Imperial Palace and its well-stocked gift shop is open to the public seven days a week from 9:30 A.M. to 9:30 P.M. Located on the fifth floor of the parking structure of the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, admission is just $6.95 for each adult, $3.00 for seniors and children 12 and under, with children under three admitted free.

You, too, can join Gary and Connie weekly FREE in the Grand Salon of The Auto Collections, fifth floor of the parking facility of the Imperial Palace, every Saturday night from 6 to 8 p.m., to see the stars come out for "Backstage Live."

Talk America Radio Network and Cable Radio Network originate "Backstage Live," and it airs in the Las Vegas area, live, on KNUU 970 AM, Saturdays 6-8 p.m., and on tape delay on Sundays 10-Mid. On KXNT 840 AM.
