The annual "Backstage Live with Gary and Connie" Christmas show was
filled with wonderful songs, great friends and host Gary Campbell's
traditional singing of "I'll Be Home For Christmas."
Ted "Boss Man" Cash, a favorite guest of the "Backstage" family, joined
Campbell for a special rendition of "I'll Be Home" as well as "Do You
Hear What I Hear." Cash's smooth vocals can be found on four CDs
available on his website, www.tedcash.com, including a special Christmas
CD for the holiday season.
Visiting from California for a three-night gig at Caesars Palace, The
Kid & Nic Show dropped by the "Backstage Live" set to perform a few
songs throughout the show, including an original Christmas song written
just for the show. The Kid & Nic Show band features Nicole and Kirk
Tracy sharing vocals with Kirk also wailing away "swing-style" on the
saxophone. Check out their music and more at www.kidandnic.com.
More beautiful music and incredible saxophone playing came from Carl
Ferris and Safe Sax. Performing throughout the show, Ferris displayed
his amazing style which you can catch in lounges throughout Las Vegas.
Ferris' career includes playing in the 80s with Jimmy Buffet, the Eagles
and Edgar Winter.
Pianist extraordinaire Daryl Wagner took a break from the Imperial
Theatre stage to stop in to talk about what it's like to perform twice
nightly as "Mr. Showmanship" Liberace in "Legends In Concert" at the
Imperial Palace. Wagner is playing a special holiday set in the show,
performing such tunes as "White Christmas," "Santa Claus is Coming to
Town," and "Winter Wonderland." His piano playing, looks and comic
sense bring the superstar to life in his most flamboyant way, creating
an image that fans will remember for a lifetime.
