Christopher Titus

Christopher Titus is the star, executive producer and co-creator of the FOX sitcom, "Titus," the dark comedy based on his one-man show, "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding, and he is bringing his insightful stand-up act to the world-famous Top Of The Riv ballroom in Las Vegas' legendary Riviera Hotel and Casino. Mark your calendars as Titus lets loose with his edgy material on Friday and Saturday, February 22 & 23, at what some call the Riviera's "nightclub in the sky."

Titus jokes about things most comics find impossible to make funny. Custody battles, family suicides, heart attacks, insanity and fist-fighting his father all are topics he confronts. "With the world moving as fast as it is, if we weren't dysfunctional, we couldn't function," says Titus.

Christopher Titus grew up in a modest Northern California town, fist-fought with his beer-guzzling salesman dad, and endured a flurry of stepmoms. At 12, he ran away from home and lived in a garage with his biological mother, a pianist who was in and out of mental institutions before committing suicide.

"All this stuff in my life that people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in therapy on became jokes," Titus explained. Starting at age eighteen, Chris used to wait outside the comedy club stage doors, waiting for his "intro" so he could rush to the stage, do his routine and make a quick exit, because he was under age. Twelve years later, he is one of the top comic headliners in the country with his unique act based on his one-of-a-kind life experiences. His show has evolved from the days when he was touring the country as Kenny Loggins' opening act doing what he refers to as his "old happy boy" act.

Titus reminds, "I can show you that screwed-up people can handle anything. All the crappy things that everyone ever did to me - this is payback! All you guys that screwed with me? Guess what? I've got a TV show and I'm talking about you!"

Showtimes are 10 pm. on Friday, February 22, and 9 pm. on Saturday, February 23. Tickets are $29.50 plus tax and fee. VIP seating is available. For tickets, please call the Riviera Box Office at (702) 794-9433, or click on www.theriviera.com for more information.
