Comedy Stop At The Trop

Hold on to your seats and your funny bones...Greg Morton is headlining The Comedy Stop at the Tropicana, through February 17 at 8:00 (non-smoking) and 10:30 pm., nightly. Tickets are $17.50 per person, which includes two drinks, tax and gratuity. "With all the comics on the scene today, it's very difficult to find one that is as unique, bizarre and completely entertaining as Morton," says Comedy Stop Producer, Bob Kephart. "I consider Greg a true find," Kephart boasts. "At the end of each of his shows, audiences are exhausted and most often can't believe what they have just experienced!" Appearing with Morton for the week, are fellow headliners Tony Daro and Phil Palisoul.

Greg Morton has been hailed as a "young hyper Bill Cosby." Morton is a 32-year-old New York stand-up comic whose routines have left critics searching for new superlatives. "His show is energetic, fast, intelligent, bizarre, original, spontaneous, and slick," says one critic. He is described as having "an animated presence" ... not surprising when you read his credentials. A graduate in animation, he has many talents including that of a voice over artist for many well known cartoon characters, head animator for "Scoobie Doo" and `The New Flintstones" and director of four of today's most popular cartoons. As a stand-up comedian, Morton is a regular headliner at both New York's Catch A Rising Star and Canada's Yuk Yuk comedy chain. His uniquely diverse brand of comedy pertains to life's various problems that we've all experienced one or all in our lives.

Phil Palisoul is a rapidly rising, hard working, very funny young comedian. He began his comedy career in Denver, and quickly became one of the top acts in the city. Soon Palisoul was headlining comedy clubs across the country. In addition to landing a spot at the prestigious 1999 HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, where he received rave reviews for his performances, Palisoul has performed his stand-up routine on such shows as `"The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," NBC's "Friday Night," "Louie Anderson's Comedy Showcase," VH1's "Stand-Up Spotlight" and "Fools For Love."

Although Palisoul is a regular television performer, his first love is still performing for live audiences. Once you've seen his act, the reason for his popularity is obvious he's hilarious! Building his show with a playful and hysterical mixture of life experiences, Palisoul has made a name for himself touching on childhood memories (growing up in a typical suburban neighborhood, in a typical suburban family) and married life.

Actor and comedian Tony Daro was Sylvester Stallone's stand-in in the film "Rocky II!" Daro is now keeping audiences beguiled from the comedy stage with his unique charm and ingenious brand of comedy. Daro performs in the best comedy clubs from coast to coast to rave reviews. He has written for "Politically Incorrect" and `"The Tonight Show, starring Jay Leno" and has performed on every network and cable comedy television show.

Join Greg Morton, Phil Palisoul and Tony Daro for an evening of hilarious laughter, through February 17, at 8:00 (non-smoking) or 10:30 pm. Tickets are $17.50 per person, which includes tax, gratuity and two drinks. Thursdays are local 2-4-1 nights. Show your local I.D. and receive two tickets for the price of one!
