Let's take a quick tour of the city starting at the South end of the strip and go North for what we might find in the casino lounges:

At Mandalay Bay, a very versatile duo, Nouveau, performs Thursday - Sunday in the Island Lounge. From R & B to pop, keyboardist / sax player Wayne Gray and his vocalist / partner T.J. pack the house nightly with party people requesting song after song. Coral Reef Lounge has dance bands nightly.

Luxor presents the high-energy performance of Panama consisting of five very talented multi-instrumentalists who perform the dance hits of today. Dark Thursdays, these guys rock the house every other night of the week.

New York / New York has a very classy new lounge and two bands performing each day. Their signature performers, however, are the Dueling Pianos of Times Square that put on an interactive sing-a-long, dance-a-thon, every night from 8 - 2 am, 3 am on weekends.

Paris Hotel has two wonderful venues for entertainment. There's Napoleon's for a jazzy cocktail with The Tommy Thompson Project and Le Cabaret where the people "Get Down" with the awesome sounds of Cat Daddy.

Bellagio presents Dian Diaz, Jimmy Hopper and Rocco Barbato in the Fontana Lounge and there are small jazz venues in the Baccarat & Allegro Lounges. If your thing is more classical piano, Petrossian Lounge is the place for you.

Ballys has a superb pianist / vocalist in Doug Taylor who performs nightly in the Indigo Lounge.

Caesars Palace has nightly entertainment in the Galleria Bar starring crooner Mark Verabian. The Ghalib Ghallab Experience performs 6 nights weekly in The Terrazza, and there is nightly show and dance bands performing either in The Piazza or on Cleopatra's Barge. Shadow Bar might just be an interesting experience as well.

The Kabuki Lounge at the Imperial Palace is currently featuring Kevin Baker, a wacky solo guitarist / vocalist that just might be able to make your favorite balloon animal too!

No one has more going on than Harrahs with nearly round the clock entertainment in three lounges and at least four main room attractions. The Carnival Court, La Playa Lounge, The View Nightclub, The Range Steakhouse, comedy by Mac King in the afternoon and The Improv at night, Skin Tight and Clint Holmes are just part of the fare.

The Mirage has The Lagoon Saloon for contemporary sounds, and The Baccarat Bar for lighter piano / vocal sounds by Shelly Taylor and Tony Payne.

There used to be two Starlight Lounges (one at the former Desert Inn) but now the Stardust holds claim to that fame.

Our last (but definitely not least) stop is at The Statosphere with nightly entertainment by Andrew James at the Top of the World Lounge, Images Cabaret and the Crazy Armadillo are hot spots as well.
