Sheena Easton has returned with a fantastic new show to The Nightclub at the Las Vegas Hilton. Her star power filled last year's seats beyond capacity and this run for all of 2002 will be no different. Sheena's songlist presents many of the tunes that have special meaning to her as well as all her hits that mean so much to us, as the show going public. "My Baby Takes the Morning Train", "Strut" and of course, the Bond theme, "For Your Eyes Only", are show-stopping moments. Sheena graciously shares her stage with the talented band. Duets with her vocalists Tony Davich or Michelle Johnson re-create tunes she recorded with Kenny Rogers, Luis Miguel and Prince. These songs helped her become the first artist in history to have hits on all five of Bill-board's major charts! The band members: Felix Buehler/gtr, Jonathon Rem/bass, Jeff Johnson and Michael Eckroth/keys, Don Mioli/drums and Musical Director Mike Cargill, play with great energy and expression. Sheena's show is dark Fridays with tickets available by calling (702) 732-5755 at $39.95. Las Vegas Hilton is also currently headlining "America's Brothers" The Righteous Brothers in their main showroom. We recently saw the Commodores and the Hilton line-up just keeps growing!

A bright new pianist opens at Caesars Palace on February 7th to perform in the Galleria Bar as well as the Terrazza. Peter Robberecht is the shining new star to add to the stellar performers on the Caesar's roster that also lists Billy Stevenson and the fantastic Ghalib Ghallab Experience. Whether watching Tony Tillman in La Piazza, David Osborne in Cafe Lago, or the two wonderful aforementioned performers, entertainment is at it's finest at Caesars.

The Empire Bar has closed for remodeling and the action has moved to the legendary Bar at Times Square, home of the world famous Dueling Pianos at New York / New York. The party starts with solo and duo acts such as Kevin Baker, John Gardner, Bobby Dickerson and more at 3 pm until 7 pm. Then at 8 pm, Chris Nelson, Mike Cavanaugh, Phyllis Griffin, Ray Glover, Conrad Hawthorne, John Jones, and others rock out at the dual Dueling Pianos. The hours have been extended here too, and the show goes until 3 am on weekdays and 4 am on Friday and Saturday!

The Minstrel Theater Lounge at Excalibur will close for remodel after this week's performances by none other than Klass 1. The city's top R & B dance band puts on a great show and I'm sure the many performers who have played this lounge throughout the years will drop in to watch the final curtain fall on Sunday night.

The best piano bar music in town is at The Mirage in the Baccarat Bar. The early portion of the evening belongs to the talents of Shelly Taylor. Her perfect intonation and jazzy piano stylings are a delight during the pre-dinner cocktail hours. Tony Payne's groovy-ness kicks in a little later with a bluesy, jazzy, R & B mix that's perfect with a cigar or a late night martini.
