Engelbert Humperdinck was born as George Dorsey. Coming from a large family he was one of ten siblings. Engelbert began his singing career at age 17 when he won his first talent competition by doing impressions. To this day audiences all over the world are delighted with his combined singing and impressions act.

Long before the "British Invasion" hit America, Engelbert had exploded into the British music scene. Selling more than 130 million records he can lay claim to receiving 64 gold and 23 platinum. "Release Me," one of his hit songs remained on the charts for 56 consecutive weeks. This earned him a notation in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Engelbert is more than an accomplished singer. He has earned the Golden Globe for Entertainer of the Year, a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame and four Grammy nominations. Some of the world's greatest entertainers have performed with Engelbert including his closest friend Elvis Presley. He has performed for the Queen of England, several US Presidents and many Heads of State.
