When We Were Fab," a tribute to the Beatles will headline at the Ramada Express from Dec. 27 - 30. This show allows audiences to relive some of the most exciting times in the history of pop music as Beatle mania swept the nation in the 1960s. Tickets for the 8 p.m. shows are $15, call 1-800-243-6846.

The Emmy Award winning comedienne Vicki Lawrence will be appearing at the Riverside Resort, Dec. 27-31. Tickets are $34, Saturday-Tuesday; $35 for the 7 p.m. show on New Year's Eve; and $40 for the 10:30 p.m. performance on Dec. 31. For information, call 800-227-3849.

Lawrence is one of the most beloved television personalities of her generation. Plucked out of total obscurity as a high school senior, she went on to become part of the now-legendary cast of the "Carol Burnett Show." "I went to the Harvard School of Comedy in front of America," says Lawrence of her Burnett Show training.

The Flamingo Laughlin is expanding its Magic Club customer rewards program to include the nationwide Connection Card benefits available at Park Place Entertainment resorts throughout the United States.

The Connection Card program offers the convenience of one membership card and multi-property benefits. Connection Card rewards earned by customers at the Flamingo Laughlin can be redeemed for dream vacations and leisure getaways at Connection-affiliated casino resorts in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, northern Nevada, and other major gaming markets across the country.

The Connection Card program rewards customers with a bank of complimentary dollars that are based not only on slot machine and table game activity, but also on their hotel cash folio - the amount guests pay in cash or by credit card for their hotel rooms, spa services, dining and other amenities.

At the Flamingo Laughlin, guests who could previously spend their complimentary dollars in their choice of 12 outlets, now have more than 150 in Southern Nevada alone.

Connection Centers also serve as the casino promotion center at each property, replacing the former Flamingo Magic Booth. Participation in the program is free to anyone 21 or older. Guests may sign up in person or register online.

The Riverside is holding its $2,004 A Day Cash Giveaway from Dec. 25 - Jan. 31. You can receive one entry ticket for every 100 points earned at a single rate on reel, video poker and keno machines. Drawings will be conducted at 5 p.m. in the South Tower Promotional Area each evening, starting on Jan. 1. Participants will have a chance to take home $501.00, and four winners will be drawn per night.

The sweet shop on the river at the Colorado Belle was totally renovated in November and is now open. The Colorado Belle's Candy Shoppe, home of handcrafted fudge, exclusive chocolates and "nostalgia" candies, reopened with a bright new look in time for the holidays. The store's holiday sale is... buy a pound of fudge for $8.99 and get a half pound free.

Personal favorites come into play when you buy from the bulk candy tubes and fill a bag with old-fashioned named candy like Good 'n' Plenty, Rock Candy Crystals, and Boston Baked Beans. Bulk candy is $6.99 a pound.

Gift baskets are a specialty at the Candy Shoppe. To order for a guest staying at Colorado Belle, call 877-460-0777 and ask for the Candy Shoppe.

Escape the cold with coffee specials in Don's Hideaway located between the Prime Rib Room and the Gourmet Room. Winter Wonderland coffee drinks will be available through March. There are ten coffee specials to choose from, and each one is available for $4.00.

At the Bermuda Club in the Rivers Palms on Dec. 31, the New Year's Eve Show / Party starring The Edwards Twins in their "Celebrities On Stage" show at 10 p.m. will include party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $39 per person at the Main Cashier Cage.

At the Riverside on Dec. 31, the New Year's Eve Dance featuring the Michael Hudson Invitation starting at 9 p.m. is $60 per couple and $35 for a single person.

At the Event Center, the Edgewater is throwing Dance Party Extreme, with DJ Joel-Steven, The Ambassador of Good Times. Action starts at 9 p.m. Admission is $20 or $15 for One Club members and includes party favors and a champagne toast.

The Colorado Belle has its dealers offering free lessons to learn how to play live games. In the Pit, the best time for a quick lesson is early in the day like around 7 a.m. Lessons rarely last more than half an hour. There's pit action from Caribbean Stud to roulette.

You can also learn more about craps, roulette and blackjack with Win Cards obtained at the One Club booth. You receive a certificate to get your set of Win Cards and $15 in non-redeemable gaming chips for a $10 investment. The chips must be played on the tables. The Win Cards provide simple explanations of each of the three games and handy reference wheels with information regarding bet payoffs (roulette), odds (craps) and when to hit (blackjack) during the game. One Club members may buy Win Cards once a month.
