Music superstar Shania Twain has added more dates to her UP! Tour, her first worldwide concert tour in over three years. She will perform at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday, Dec. 20. Tickets are $65 and $85, call 702-632-7580.

Twain is riding the wave of her current hit release "UP!," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart and has sold over nine million copies worldwide. Her previous album "Come On Over" is the most successful female solo album of all time with worldwide sales over 34 million.

On Nov. 26, Twain will return to NBC for her second network special taped from Nashville, Tenn. Her concert performance for television is more intimate and includes her friend, multiple Grammy-winner Alison Krauss and Union Station.

Dick Feeney who produces the afternoon "Viva Las Vegas" show at the Stratosphere, and the Rat Pack tribute show at the Greek Isles, now has a another show to add to his credit... "The World's Greatest Magic Show" at the Sahara. Tickets are $55.95 and $65.95 for VIP plus tax and ticket fee, call 702-737-2515.

The newest magic show in town made its debut last month and offers a variety-style format featuring between six to eight very different magicians performing their best couple tricks or illusions that each fill about ten to twelve minute intervals. It's a great concept because it prevents boredom and filler illusions that are old and redundant.

The show's glue is Jeff Hobson who left his emceeing role in the hit variety show "V" at the Venetian to take over the same but expanded role in this show. His manic comedy style is displayed throughout the show and offers a lot fun surprises and interaction with the audience.

Joseph Gabriel, who for years performed in "City Lites" at the Flamingo Hilton, offers the classic style tuxedoed silent act where he effortlessly produces birds from scarves and thin air.

Two more magicians demonstrate entirely diverse styles. Nicholas Night takes an artistic approach and frames his illusions with novel staging and a whimsical touch. He selects metal debris from a garbage can and cleverly constructs a bicycle with a rider that eerily rides off the stage. Kevin James (not the "King of Queens" Star) shows off another non-conventional style. He combines comedy and magic that in one bit has a mad doctor chain sawing a man in half and having the legs walk off.

Opening on the same day as "The World's Greatest Magic Show," the new "Ovation" show at Desert Passage and the Aladdin is the third show in town to focus on variety acts. David Saxe, producer of "V - The Ultimate Variety Show" at the Venetian and "Showgirls of Magic" at the San Remo, has joined creative forces with Johnny Stuart, the original producer of "Legends In Concert" at the Imperial Palace, to bring audiences another high energy variety revue. Tickets for the nightly 7:30 and 10 p.m. shows are $49.95 general admission, $59.95 VIP, and $69.95 dinner and show package plus tax, call 702-932-1818.

"Ovation" is featuring an assortment of acts that include: singer Serena Henry; comedy act Mark Kornhauser; four male fast tapping dancers called All That who were recently finalists in this summer's "Dance Fever;" elegant and dramatic magician Jason Byrne; novelty act Christopher who straps four life-size puppets to his body and mimics The Village People; the graceful Aerial Adage act with Hollanders Cees and Cathy; Anthony Gatto "The World's Greatest Juggler;" and the Rolla-Rolla balancing act Tino Ferreira.

The Las Vegas Hilton has scheduled A Tribute to Patsy Cline-starring Logan Wells from Dec. 2-7. Tickets are $25 and $35 plus tax; call 800-222-5361 or 702- 732-5755.

The up-and-coming country star has performed live shows for the past seven years and has shared the stage with a number of well-known artists, including Shenandoah, Terri Clark, Brad Paisley and Deana Carter. Wells is currently in negotiations with several major record labels in Nashville.

Singer / songwriter Brad Paisley will follow at the Hilton Theater, Dec. 5-7 at 10:30 p.m. with country artist Sara Evans. Tickets are $30, $40 and $50 plus tax.

Contemporary country singer Paisley took the music scene by storm in 1999 with the release of "Who Needs Pictures." He began his career playing in church and soon progressed to opening for The Judds, Roy Clark and Little Jimmy Dickens. Paisley's most recent album is "Part II (2001)," and his current single, "Celebrity," is a look into his upcoming album, "Mud on the Tires," scheduled for release in July 2004.

Sara Evans, who recently released her new collection of songs entitled "Restless," became a country sensation with her 2000 album, "Born to Fly." She was the most nominated artist at the 2001 Country Music Association Awards.

The Legendary duo Brooks & Dunn will rock the Hilton, Dec. 8-10 at 10:30 p.m. They are best known for their hit "Boot Scootin' Boogie." The pair gained popularity in the early '90s with their hit album "Brand New Man." Brooks & Dunn recently released "Red Dirt Road," which is a reflection of their geographical and musical influences throughout their career. Tickets are $55 and $65 plus tax and handling fee.

In addition, a limited-edition commemorative Brooks & Dunn gaming chip will be available at the Las Vegas Hilton beginning Dec. 8.

The other side displays items from the second market menu, a selection of greens, fruits, vegetables, proteins and dressings. Also, the full menu is available at the bar.

Freshness is a key element with the fish being flown in from all over the world and grilled on a free-standing wood-fired "island" grill. Guests can order individual small plates for sampling or large plates that include entrees such as Dover sole, lobster and cod. Dinner prices range from $15 - $45.
