Don's Celebrity Theater at the Riverside in one week will highlight a talent show, the Oak Ridge Boys and a big band dance.

Leading the way on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. is an employee talent contest and admission is free.

The Oak Ridge Boys will headline from Nov. 12-16, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $32.50, call 1-800-227-3849. A press conference that is open to the public will be held on Nov. 12, at 3:00 p.m. in front of Don's Celebrity Theatre and will air live on Jammin' Country.

The Oak Ridge Boys started in 1943 in Knoxville, Tenn. singing country and gospel music. By 1945, the band was performing at the Grand 'Ole Opry on a regular basis and featured in time Magazine as one of the top drawing gospel groups in the nation. Over the years, the quartet has had 30 plus members.

Big Band Dance music featuring the Mike Hudson Orchestra will be the entertainment on Nov. 17. The Mike Hudson Orchestra has played all around the world. The dance starts at 5 p.m. and the band will play until 9:45 p.m. Tickets are $15 and include hors d'oeuvres and chances to win door prizes.

Popular Las Vegas performer, Earl Turner is presenting his soulful, high-energy show with his eight-member band at Harrah's Laughlin through Dec. 13. Turner moved from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in March 2002 to headline the Fiesta Showroom.

Performances are nightly except Sunday and Wednesday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $24.95 plus tax without a Total Rewards card and $22.95 plus tax with a card, call 800-447-8700 or 702-298-8510.

The Coin and Stamp Expo displaying coins and stamps for view and sale will be held at the River Palms, Nov. 14-16. Door prizes will be held every hour and appraisals will be available. Regular admission is $2, $1 for seniors, and children under 12 are admitted free.

The Turkey Run Car Show featuring a Show 'n' Shine of 1970 or older cars will be held in the north parking lot of the Ramada Express, Nov. 14-16. The event will also feature $2,000 in prize money, music, and other activities.

Viewing the cars will be free Friday through Sunday. The entry fee for showing cars is $89 and includes a variety of goodies and a room. For information, call Randy Gray, 928-201-5819.

The Colorado Belle's award-winning Boiler Room Microbrewery is once again featuring the extremely popular Hefe Weizen beer as the Brewmaster's Choice on tap. Hefe Weizen is a refreshing unfiltered wheat beer, slightly cloudy in appearance, with a rich, spicy flavor and aroma and a slightly tart after taste. Hefe Weizen is available through the second week in December and another special brew will be offered over the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

The Colorado Belle's Boiler Room Microbrewery is a sports bar with 23 television screens strategically placed and perfect for watching the upcoming scheduled boxing matches. The lineup includes: Marco Antonio Barrera (57-3) taking on Manny Pacquiao (37-2-1) on Nov. 15, at The Alamo Dome, San Antonio, Texas and ; Vitali Klitschko (32-2) vs. Kirk Johnson (34-1-1) on Dec. 6, at the Madison Square Garden, New York, New York.

Dinner and dancing with Dan De Lurgio featuring tunes from the 40's, 50's and the 60's will be held in Tarzan's Nightclub on Tuesdays, Nov. 11 and 18. The cost, which is $12.50 per person or $25 per couple, includes a buffet-style meal, complimentary glass of wine, cake, champagne, and a cash drawing.

The Taking Turkey promotion at the Golden Nugget is running through Nov. 25. Customers accumulating promotion points must pre-register at the 24 Karat Club Booth prior to playing and have their 24 Karat Club cards properly inserted.

Turkeys may be earned by accumulating 24 Karat Club points or by winning a $1,000 and above jackpot on quarter and above machines. The gift may be earned only through 24 Karat Club points. Players may win a maximum of two turkeys and will be issued a voucher / drawing ticket that will be eligible for $5,000 in total cash prize drawings. The drawings will consist of the ten random drawings for $500 each that will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Complete rules posted at the 24 Karat Club.

The Thanks for the Memories Speaker Program at the Ramada Express highlights remarkable veterans telling their memorable patriotic stories. Charles M. Province, founder of the General George S. Patton, Jr. Historical Society and the author of a number of books, many on the subject of General Patton and his Third Army, will talk on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m.

Province was stationed at Patton Barracks in Heidelberg, Germany at the time when the Berlin Wall was built and the Cold War had sub-zero temperatures. Since that time, he has accumulated a collection of Patton memorabilia second only to that of the Patton family.

Tom Crow will speak on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. Crow enlisted in the Navy in 1953 and began training as an aviation structural mechanic. For the next 21 years, he lived in the world of an aircraft mechanic, switching periodically between types of aircraft, platforms and environments. In 1979, Crow was selected Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, the top enlisted person in the Navy with the rank of E-10.
