The Flamingo's current promotion running through Nov. 30 is "Passport To Poker Paradise" with potential cash winnings of over $100,000 and a trip to Jamaica as a grand prize.
Drawings are held daily at 1 and 6 p.m. at the Center Stage in the main casino to determine five potential contestants who play a two minute slot tournament to determine which one will continue to play the "Passport to Poker Paradise" game. All non-qualifying players receive 10,000 Connection Card points, dinner for two in the Paradise Garden Buffet, two tickets to the show "A Really Big Shew, America's Favorite Variety Show" and a game souvenir.
The game is played by having the contestant exchange seven playing cards from a standard deck of cards for spins on the "Reggae Wheel." The wheel has a variety of spots each representing a card from a standard deck, as well as two bonus slots -"Paradise" and "The Flamingo." The contestant tries to collect the right combination of cards from his or her spins to win the Royal Flush prize or other bonuses. The game continues until the contestant is out of spins. There is also the option of exchanging the sixth and seventh cards for additional cards.
At the conclusion of the game, the emcee checks the game board to determine which bonuses the player has won and pays the highest available bonus only.
On December 2, daily winners will be invited back to play in a "Tournament of Champions" to win the Jamaica trip and cash.
To enter, drawing tickets can be earned in a variety of ways from checking into the hotel to dining, seeing a show, gaming, etc. For information, call 702-298-5111 or 1-800-435-8469.
