Country music superstar Dolly Parton will headline The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 10:30 p.m. Tickets range from $65 to $100 with tax included, call 702-474-4000,

This special one night only Las Vegas performance is part of her most extensive tour in 20 years. The "Hello, I'm Dolly" tour marks the very first time audiences will get to travel with the iconic singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and philanthropist through her extensive and eclectic songbook, and relive the songs from every era of her stunning, four decades-long career.

Boasting a fan-friendly feel, the "Hello, I'm Dolly" arena venues will be transformed to enhance the intimate experience. The show will feature an exciting array of superior sound, quality lighting, original set design and large video screens that will highlight the striking images of Dolly throughout her illustrious career.

Parton's last tour in 2002 hit the small club circuit in support of her most recent bluegrass album, "Halos & Horns."

Television star and stand-up comedian, Bob Newhart, will perform a special one-night engagement in the Tiffany Theatre at the Tropicana on Saturday, Nov. 13. Tickets are $49 plus tax and surcharge, call 702-739-2411.

Newhart is a household name to generations, thanks in part to his two extremely successful, long-running television series, "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Newhart." Today he performs his quirky humor at concerts all over the world. His material comes from a combination of his unique style and the day's news and he also performs his early classic routines.

Newhart has had numerous screen credits with the most recent being back- to-back co-starring roles with Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde II" and with Will Ferrell in "Elf."

In the record arena, Newhart's album "The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart," became the first comedy album to go to No. 1 on the charts. Seven more successful albums followed and sold millions of copies.

Palms' owner George Maloof has signed a licensing deal with Playboy to open the first Playboy Club since the last one closed 16 years ago. The club will occupy the top floors of the Palms new 40-story, 400-foot tower, scheduled to open in early 2006; the tower's facade will feature the Playboy logo, a giant neon rabbit head. The cocktail waitresses will wear some version of the bunny costume and a logo shop will sell Playboy paraphernalia.

In addition, the tower will house a two-story, 12,000-square-foot Playboy Mansion-style penthouse suite to serve as a home-away-from-home for the 78-year-old Hefner. It will be named the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa and have its own glass elevator that overlooks the Strip. The Palms has already hosted three highly successful Playboy-related events.

Olympic gold-medalists Brian Boitano and Kristi Yamaguchi will return to the Mandalay Bay Events Center to star in the "Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular," presented by Aflac on Saturday, Dec. 18. As a regular showman, Amazing Johnathan is known as a macabre, eccentric comic magician with raw humor and abrasive wit-but Halloween has a special meaning for him. His show will produce bloodcurdling screams one minute and unstoppable laughs the next.

During these special engagements, Amazing Johnathan will perform disturbing illusions. Before guests enter the theater, they'll see a horrific display of a coffin holding a dead body and prior to the show they'll see clips from scary movies. As the show begins, revving chainsaws will roar through the theater and Amazing Johnathan will present a new illusion using a real guillotine, and perform a ghastly surgical operation onstage, sending body parts flying. It will be a bloody mess at The Amazing Johnathan Show this Halloween.

Beacher's Comedy Madhouse has started up again this month at The Joint in the Hard Rock.

A birthday celebration took place recently at The Mirage for celebrated Magician Roy Horn. His 60th birthday was a gala event attended by numerous celebrities. It was also the first time in almost a year that Horn, and long time partner Siegfried, appeared on stage together.
