The entertainment lineup at the Riverside this month is Eddie Money - Oct. 14, Freddy Fender - Oct. 18-22, and funny lady Phyllis Diller - Oct. 25-29.

The musical "Oliver" is playing at the Ramada Express through Oct. 5. Based on the classic novel, "Oliver Twist," the story revolving around intrigue and betrayal is set in London during the 1850s. The tale is about an orphan who acquaints himself with a young band of thieves and their struggling dishonest lifestyles.

Poker action will receive special attention at the Colorado Belle's Poker Room every Saturday night in October with the Saturday Night Exclusive promotion. Ten players will be given the exclusive opportunity to play 10-20 Hold'Em with a Half Kill. Plus a $100 cash prize drawing will be held every hour, from 8 p.m. till midnight, for players at the Exclusive table.

Anyone playing a live poker game on Saturdays can request to be included in the 10-20 Hold'Em Exclusive game. The Exclusive game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., but it may start earlier depending upon demand.

If the Exclusive table fills, and there are more players remaining on the list, a second 10-20 Hold'Em table may be opened. Players at the second table will be eligible to move to the Exclusive table when a position opens.

Players at the Exclusive table can earn drawing tickets for the hourly $100 cash drawings in a variety of ways beginning with the initial buy-in. Players will have a 10-minute grace period before being subject to removal from the game and there are no dinner breaks. For more information, call 1-800-64-POKER.

The Ramada Express is holding its annual Oktoberfest in the outdoor setting of Victory Plaza, Oct. 6-9. The celebration includes an authentic German feast with bratwurst, apples strudel, and beer. The feast is $7.99 per person and a little extra for desserts and beer.

The Oktoberfest wouldn't be complete without authentic polka music provided by Stewedschiedzel from 6 to 9 p.m. The polka band combines comedy with their "oom-pah" sounds. The dancing and polka music are free.

The Ramada's brand new Victory Plaza stretches along the area between the casino building and Casino Drive. By raising and leveling the original sloping banks between the railroad tracks and Casino Drive and covering the tracks for special occasions, the resort has created a space that is converted into a strip park, able to accommodate 450 people. The park-like setting is enhanced by Victorian lampposts, benches, landscaping and lighting.
