The Flamingo's "A Really Big Shew, A Tribute to Ed Sullivan" production running through April 11, 2004, was suppose to feature ventriloquist Michelle La Fong through Nov. 28. There's been a lineup change and impersonator Gailynn Addis is portraying Marilyn Monroe and Liza Minnelli through Oct. 26 and singer / impressionist / comedian Janice Hart will take over from Oct. 27 to Nov. 28.
Actor Jerry Hoban, best known for his Ed Sullivan role in the motion picture "Pulp Fiction," portrays the late host in this re-creation of the popular "Ed Sullivan Show" that aired on CBS from 1947-1971. The variety show includes Sullivan as the comedic emcee, three specialty acts, one musical act, and Topo Gigio, the Italian mouse. The acts are interspersed with vintage television commercials and commentary from Sullivan.

On Sept. 30, The Edwards twins Eddie and Anthony will be back headlining in the Bermuda Club at the River Palms. The duo's show "Celebrities on Stage" features Eddie Edwards performing as such female stars as Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand and Cher. His brother Anthony performs as Elton John, Billy Joel and Neil Diamond to name a few.
Eddie in his Bob Mackie and Donna Karan outfits and Anthony in his elaborate Elton John costumes have create a visually fun show that is rounded out with singing and a whole lot of Chutzpah.

The Ramada Express features an ongoing free weekly speakers program where guests tell firsthand war related stories in the resort's American Heroes Museum of Memories.
Elaine Pinkerton, author of "From Calcutta with Love, The WWII Letters of Richard and Reva Beard," will be the speaker on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. The book contains letters from Pinkerton's father to her mother while her father was serving in the CBI Theater. The book has been featured on Book TV and at the National D Day Museum in New Orleans. It has received dozens of favorable reviews and Elaine is an honorary member of the Santa Fe, NM branch of CBI veterans club. She will bring her books for book signing.
