Harrah's still has some dynamite headliners lined up through November. The Rio Vista Outdoor Amphitheater is featuring Jeff Foxworthy and his special recipe for southern fried humor done "redneck" style on Sept. 23. Wayne "Mr. Las Vegas" Newton will bring his famous show to Laughlin on Oct. 28-29. Tickets for both headliners start at $30 and $25 for Newton's Sunday show.

Harrah's Fiesta Showroom has world renown magicians The Pendragons scheduled though Dec. 3. Tickets for their shows are $15.95, and $13.95 with a Harrah's Total Reward card. Country singing sensation Daryle Singletary will perform his many heartfelt ballads in the showroom Nov. 16-18. Tickets are $16.95 with performances at 7 and 9 p.m. For show information call 1-800-447-8700 or 702-298-8510.

The Edgewater Hotel/Casino is offering a gaming chip commemorating the Laughlin Shoot Out / Professional Bull Riders (PBR) that will take place at the Laughlin Event Site on Sept. 22-23. The limited edition of 500 commemorative gaming chips comes in a $5 denomination and can be purchased at the Main Casino Cage.

The red and gold chip features the Edgewater name and two Kokopellis, along with the event and denomination of the chip. Also featured on one side of the chip is the silhouette of a bull rider and where the event takes place. The other side highlights the PBR logo, the date of the event and the chip number.

A number of other commemorative gaming chips are also available at the Edgewater. Other gaming chips include the Millennium, Super Bowl XXXIV, the recent Laughlin River Stampede and various other events that have taken place since 1996.

The Colorado Belle and Mad Dog's Bar and Grill will kick off the second annual Blues & Brews Festival, Sept. 28-30, with a Charity Poker Run on Thursday, Sept. 28. All the entry fees will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Laughlin and Bullhead City. Plus, the Colorado Belle will match 100 percent of the entries in prize money.

The Ramada Express is probably the most thoroughly themed resort in Laughlin. Their train-theme recalls the glory days of Victorian-era railroading.

Getting around the Ramada Express resort's 27-acre complex is easy and fun since it's Laughlin's only property with a working railroad.

All throughout the resort you encounter the train theme. Carnegie's 24 Hour Dining Car offers dining in one of two dining cars. The Steakhouse was built to resemble an elegant old-fashioned parlor car. The Caboose Lounge offers live entertainment and a dance floor. Train enthusiasts enjoy the Great Train Store with its specialty train items.

One of the biggest novelties is the unique locomotive-shaped swimming pool with a spa contained in the locomotive wheel.
