Lake Las Vegas Resort will anchor its 52 x 76-foot floating stage near the Reflection Bay shore, where concert guests will be able to relax on beach towels as The Beach Boys fill the air with their well-known and loved American youth anthems. The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and performed more concerts than any major rock band in history. On July 4, 1985, The Beach Boys made a Guinness Book of World Records achievement by playing to an afternoon crowd of one million in Philadelphia and doing an evening performance for over 750,000 people on the Mall in Washington.
Mark your calendars, the Annual Aviation Nation - the Nellis Air Force Base-Las Vegas Air Show is planned for Nov. 13 and 14. This year's two-day weekend event featuring Air Races, the USAF Thunderbirds, Aerobatic Demos and Vintage Warbirds will honor the accomplishments of America's military and celebrate the 60th anniversary of D-Day with special aerial and ground displays at Nellis Air Force Base.
In addition, Boyd Gaming Corporation will be sponsoring a gallant tribute to the men and women veterans of World War II. This year's event is expected to draw between 125,000 and 150,000 spectators.
To illustrate the history of American aviation and salute the accomplishments of American aviators, nearly 150 aircraft - from a replica WWI Sopwith Strutter to the newly commissioned F/A-22 Raptor strike fighter - will be on static display, along with award-winning vintage warbirds representing every era of aviation.

Ethel M Chocolates will hold its 11th Annual "Light the Night" Cactus Garden experience with more than 250,000 holiday lights illuminating the Ethel MO Chocolates Botanical Cactus Garden from Thursday, Nov. 18, until Jan. 3, 2005. Lights will shine daily from sundown to 10 p.m. and the event is free.
Nevada's first botanical garden features more than 350 species of plants and opens at 8:30 a.m.
While at the garden and factory site, located at Two Cactus Garden Drive in Henderson, which is a 20 minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip, visitors are invited to see how Ethel M Chocolates are made by hand. Early holiday shopping is also available with gift selections from the 2004 holiday line.
When people travel they still want to check their e-mail and carry on with business via the Internet. According to Pyramid Research, based in Cambridge, Mass., the number of U.S. hotels offering Wi-Fi has exploded from 500 in 2002 to 1,000 in 2003. Overall, the number of Wi-Fi users is also rapidly growing, from 12 million globally in 2003 to an estimated 707 million in 2008.
The Imperial Palace is the first Strip property to implement full-property wireless access. The center-Strip resort has contracted with Hotel Wireless, Inc., and its sister company Hotel Kiosks, Inc., to integrate wireless connectivity throughout the property. The company built a full-property wireless solution for the Imperial Palace, including complete Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) access and five Internet access kiosks for guests without a laptop.
The Tropicana has also debuted new wireless Internet technology that is available in several areas of the hotel's Meeting & Convention Facility and in various locations around the five-acre garden swimming pool area.
Solutions at both properties require a nominal fee.
All next year, Las Vegas will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary beginning with this year's New Year's Eve party on Dec. 31. The Centennial will partner with Las Vegas Events to create a special multimedia extravaganza with a historical video projected from hotels and casinos accompanied by a sound track written by Harrah's headliner Clint Holmes and performed by name entertainers.
One ongoing event planned for the whole year is the Las Vegas Walk of Fame. Similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it will be part of the downtown revitalization program with 18-inch bronze gaming chips cemented into the walkways around the area by the Fremont Street Experience. The chips will feature well-known Vegas celebrities, oddball characters and noteworthy people who are part of the city's history. Every month in 2005, eight to ten new gaming chips will be made a permanent part of today's history. In the future, new gaming chips will be added each year.

Caesars Entertainment plans to open a 26,000-square-foot luxury automobile dealership named Exotic Cars in the Forum Shops in late October. The two tiered dealership will feature 50 automobiles for sale including a 2003 Ferrari Enzo with a $1.3 million sticker price and a 427 Shelby with only 9,000 original miles that will cost $375,000.
