Singer Joe Cocker will present an 8 p.m. concert on Aug. 29 at the Edgewater / Colorado Belle Event Center. Tickets are $24.95 with a One Club Players Club card and $29.95 without a card.

The Ramada Express has booked "Back To Bacharach and David," a tribute show to the music of Burt Bacharach and Hal David, from Aug. 23-29. Tickets are $13.95.

"When They Were Four" will follow on Aug. 30-31. This is a tribute show to The Beatles. Tickets are $15, call 800-243-6846.

"The Really Big Shew," a take-off of the old Ed Sullivan television variety show with Jerry Hoban as Sullivan and a rotating cast of jugglers, ventriloquists, impersonators, singers and other talent is booked at the Flamingo Hilton from Sept. 8 through April 11. Show times will be 7 and 9 p.m. nightly except most Thursdays. Tickets will be $13.95 with a slot club card and $14.95 without one. For information, call 800-435-8469.

Rebecca McGeehan of Homeland, Calif. won $5,000 in the River Palms Cash Bath for Cash drawing promotion that is running every Thursday through August. One contestant gets to select a key at the 7 p.m. drawing that opens the tub filled with the cash. For information, call 1-800-835-7904 ext. 2458.

Harrah's announces two new casino games. Super Fun 21 is a way to play single deck blackjack while Millionaire Keno offers a chance to match 10 numbers to win the coveted $1 million prize.

Super Fun 21 guarantees each blackjack player to be a winner with an even money payback. Super Fun 21 rules are simple and include, but are not limited to, double down (for full amount) on two or more cards; split equal valued cards including aces; surrender one half of bet on two or more cards totaling less than 21. Enter into Harrah's Laughlin's Millionaire Keno by simply marking your keno ticket with an "M." The Millionaire Keno ticket must be played as a $1 straight 10 spot ticket. The lucky keno player matching all ten numbers will receive $1 million. Other matches earn the following: match five and earn $1; match six and earn $5; match seven and earn $50; match eight and earn $500; or match nine and earn $5,000. Shiny bronze pennies have found a special home for themselves on Harrah's main casino floor, nearest the race and sports book area. The River Palms offers a variety of live dinner theatre shows in the Crystal Sands Room. Two shows are new.

The "Soprano's Last Supper" show is based on the HBO television series. Guests sit in on a secret "Mafia Commission" meeting, play craps, blackjack, and get involved with the Mob Family. This show is booked Aug. 30, Sept. 20, Oct. 18 and Nov. 15,

"Jimmy & Jenny's Wacky Western Wedding" takes place in Juneberry (not far from Mayberry) where the Raleigh and Cracorn families have been feudin' for generations over which family has the best BBQ Sauce. Jimmy Cracorn and Jen Raleigh have decided to get hitched. They are the only two left in town who are not related. This comedy escapade will play on Aug. 23 and Sept. 6.

The ongoing popular "Joey and Maria's 25th Anniversary Party" is set for Oct. 4, Nov. 29 and Dec. 6.

The Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series will take over the Laughlin Events Center on Sept. 12-13. This is the 25th stop in the $9.5 million series presented by Las Vegas. Forty-five of the world's elite bull riders will be competing for almost $100,000 in prize money.

Tickets range from$22 to $52 and are $9 for children 12 and younger, call the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce 702-298-2214.

The sixth annual "A Par of Hearts" golf tournament to benefit the American Heart Association will be held at the Emerald River Golf Center on Sept. 15.

The shotgun start scramble tournament offers $3,600 in prize money, based on 144 entrants. Entry fee is $75 per person. For information call Hutch Hutchinson at 702-300-7332 or Joel Barez at 702-809-6334.

The Golden Nugget has acoustic guitarists performing on The Deck every weekend. The Deck is a combination restaurant, cocktail lounge and meeting spot with both an indoor seating area and a signature deck built over the river. Happy Hour happens Friday through Tuesday from 4 - 6 p.m. on The Deck.

The summer hours have the musicians planning from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sundays. Mark Wood is appearing Aug. 1-17 and 29-31. He sings and plays both six- and 12-string acoustic guitars, piano and harmonica. Greg Peake, who plays all kinds of music, is scheduled Aug. 22-24.

"Paradise Aloha," a Polynesian revue presented by Hot Lava, is presented Saturday through Wednesday at the River Palms. Tickets for the 8 p.m. shows are $19.95 per person, call 800-835-7904.
