Due to popular demand Grammy Award winning superstar Janet Jackson is adding a second concert on Friday, Oct. 5, to her Las Vegas schedule. It will precede her previously booked Oct. 6 date at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with special guest 112.

Jackson's latest CD entitled "All For You" is the latest landmark in an eclectic career that has touched pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop audiences.

Tickets for her "All For You World Tour" are $125.25, $75.25 and $45.25 plus applicable service charges, call 1-800-929-1111. A portion of the ticket price will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Robert Goulet with his special guest Paige O'Hara are appearing with a live orchestra led by Vincent Falcone at The Showroom at the Venetian. What a truly pleasurable experience to witness two exquisite singers delivering treasured lyrics in such a meaningful way.

Goulet opens and closes the show. In the middle O'Hara performs solo beginning with her role as Belle in Disney's Oscar-winning animated film "Beauty and the Beast." Then O'Hara and Goulet perform a couple songs together and really bring the house down.

MTV's TRL Tour featuring the pop trio Destiny's Child with appearances by hit recording artists Eve, Dream and 3LW will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Friday, Aug. 31. Destiny's Child burst onto the music scene in 1997 with the multi-platinum single "No, No, No," from their self-titled debut album. In May of this year, the trio released "Survivor" which has already reached No. 1 on the Billboard chart and achieved multi-platinum status.

Over the Fourth of July, the Stratosphere opened its new 1,000-room tower and 67,000 square foot pool. As part of their $75 million expansion, plans call for a 3,750-seat outdoor event center that will open in September.

The "Unforgettable" Natalie Cole will return to the showroom stage at Paris, Aug. 3-5, with 9 p.m. shows. Tickets are $65, call 1-877-374-7469 or 702-946-4567.

Cole's eclectic music resume boasts eight Grammys, seven for "Unforgettable_With Love" released in 1991 as a tribute to her father Nat King Cole and his music, eight gold albums and three platinum albums. Her career includes a mix of R&B/soul, pop, gospel and adult contemporary.

The lion cubs are back at the MGM Grand Lion Habitat. Along with their arrival comes a photo opportunity for guests to have their picture taken with one of three eight-week old sister lion cubs. Photo opportunities are Wednesday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Photo availability is subject to change without notice. Photos are $20 for one 8 x 10. Admission to the Lion Habitat, which is open daily from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., is free.

The 11th Annual Las Vegas International Mariachi Festival will return to the Strip on Saturday, Sept. 8. The three-and-a-half hour musical event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center will feature Mariachis and entertainers from Mexico, the United States and Venezuela. Special guests will be the Venezuelan born international showman, Jose Luis Rodriguez "El Puma" and the Mexican Diva Ana Barbara. For ticket information, call 1-877-632-7400.

Nobhill, a 98-seat restaurant designed to recreate the atmosphere and cuisine of a San Francisco neighborhood restaurant, is opening this month at the MGM Grand.

Owned by Chef Michael Mina, who also owns Aqua seafood restaurants at the Bellagio and in San Francisco, Nobhill will feature a large bread oven baking every half-hour and oven-baked appetizers. There will also be a complimentary whipped potato cart offering up to five different flavors prepared tableside. A bar and lounge will feature Bay Area microbrews and an extensive wine list.

Tomorrow night, July 16, British musical recording artist and television superstar Jane McDonald will host a one-night free concert in the MGM Grand's 1,700-seat EFX Theater. The concert and surrounding events of her visit to

Las Vegas will be taped for a video and BBC television documentary to be aired throughout Great Britain later this year. Complimentary tickets are being distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis at all MGM Grand ticketing outlets with a limit of six tickets per person.

McDonald is the star of the Saturday night, hit British TV show "Star for a Night," now in its third season. McDonald's rocket to stardom began four years ago when she appeared on a cruise ship special on the Galaxy ocean liner. The show became a huge success on the BBC and was followed by the televising of her wedding, which drew 10 million views.

Her first album, "Jane McDonald," featured classic hits from the 1940s through the 90s and rose to No. 1 on the album charts. Her next album, "Inspiration," debuted at No. 6.

Australia's "Thunder From Down Under" makes an annual summer stop in Las Vegas. This year they are appearing at the New Frontier with shows nightly except Tuesday at 9 p.m. and additional 11:30 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are $34.95 with tax and two drinks included, call 702-794-8200. This is a perfect show for a "ladies night out."

The word is the musical "Chicago" will be moving into the Venetian's C2K Showroom for a six month run. The trick on this second go around in Las Vegas as a headlining show is to cut it down to 90 minutes instead of the 2 hour-45 minute production with intermission that ran at Mandalay Bay.

Stand-up comic/ventriloquist John Pizzi will perform at the Riviera Comedy Club on July 20 and 21 as part of KXTE's XXXtreme Comedy Showcase. The special "adults only" showcases are held every third weekend of the month at the Riviera. Tickets are $14 plus tax, call 702-794-9433.

Pizzi has been described as "Don Rickles with a Dummy." The New Yorker brings his wooden sidekick, Andy, along to help provide his observations on life comedy.

Comedienne Paula Poundstone's July 28 appearance at Sunset Station has been postponed until further notice.

World Championship K-1, the world's premier fighting sport, will return to the Bellagio when the K-1 World Grand Prix Semi-finals take place in the resort's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Aug. 11. Fighters from the United States, Holland, Germany, Japan, Brazil, Croatia and Belarus are expected to compete. Tickets range from $30 up to $250, call 1-888-488-7111 or 702-693-7722.

Founded in 1993, K-1 has become the world's ultimate fighting sport. The "K" comes from the first letter of the various styles of martial arts such as Karate, Kung Fu and Tae Kwondo.

Comedic country singer Milo Tremley will take center stage along with three fellow comedians at the Riviera Comedy Club for a week beginning on Monday, July 30. Tickets are$16.95 plus taxes with two drinks included, call 702-794-9433.

Tremley covers a broad range of talents. He is a parody singer, a fiddler and guitarist, and a cowboy-favorite comedian. His music has been recorded for posterity on a tape entitled, "Where Men Are Men." He's opened for many major stars including Charlie Daniels, the Beach Boys, Charley Pride, Blue Oyster Cult and Lou Rawls.

The All-American SportsPark on Sunset Road off Las Vegas Blvd. has reopened as the Sports Center. The batting cages called Slugger Stadium are open from 4-9 p.m., Mondays, Wednesday and Thursday and from noon to 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The 22,000-square-foot Seven nightclub and restaurant will open this summer on the Strip at the former Country Star restaurant. The new owners are spending $3 million on renovations that will include building a patio, a 6-foot-tall waterfall and fire torches. The facility will seat 750 diners.

Rebble Jackson will make her Las Vegas lounge debut in the Windjammer Lounges at the Castaways (formerly the Showboat). A member of the famous Jackson family, Rebble Jackson will be performing July 19-21 and 26-29, at 8 and 10 p.m.

The Flamingo's 550-seat Paradise Garden Buffet overlooks the resort's Wildlife Habitat and arboretum and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The buffet has new names, times and menu changes.

The Champagne Breakfast served from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. includes a glass of champagne with a selection from 60 breakfast items. Cost is $8.75 pus tax. Lunch is the Flamingo Brunch served from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It includes a full breakfast buffet with a large variety of brunch favorites for $9.95 plus tax.

The Steak & Seafood Buffet features over 100 culinary items from 4:30 to 10 p.m. The new dinner buffet has added rib eye steak, honey glazed duck, baked pork chop cutlets with Maui onions and steamed crab legs to the menu. Price is $14.95 plus tax.

Caesars Palace recently completed new facades for three of its original hotel towers, constructed a 49,000-square-foot interim event pavilion, launched two new restaurants and remodeled 600 hotel rooms.

Currently, the casino is completing two new poolside villa suites and a new high-limit gaming salon.

Other plans call for a 29-story all-suite hotel tower to be built. When completed, the mega-Strip resort will feature about 900 suites and mini-suites, and bring the total room count to 3,350 rooms.

Funnyman Rich Vos will lead a trio of comedians at The Improv Comedy Club at Harrah's, Aug. 7-12. Vos delivers anecdotes based on real-life experiences. Tickets are $24.95 plus tax for the 8 and 10 p.m. shows.

Vos is no stranger to television and he's an accomplished writer, with articles appearing in "Glamour" magazine. He's also a screenwriter with credits on both Comedy Central's "Roasts" and Fox promos for "Action."

The girls of "La Femme," Las Vegas' Crazy Horse Revue at the MGM Grand visited Siegfried and Roy's show at The Mirage. When the master illusionists visited Paris, the first show they attended was the Crazy Horse Revue.
