"Les Miserables," winner of 50 major awards internationally, including the 1987 Tony Award for Best Musical, is booked at the Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts, Sept. 19-23. The musical is now in its 16th year in London and 15th years on Broadway.
Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, "Les Miserables" is an epic saga that sweeps through three turbulent decades of 19th century France. It is also the story of one man, the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the cruel and self-righteous Inspector Javert in a lifelong struggle to evade capture.
The $4.2 million production coming to Las Vegas replicates the Broadway production in its entirety. It comes to town with the trademark 34-foot turntable, two barricades that weigh over 12,000 pounds, over 1,000 costumes, five fog machines, 422 lighting instruments, 18 orchestra members and 36 cast members.

Undefeated "Sugar" Shane Mostly will defend his WBC welterweight championship against Arian Stone at Caesars Palace on Saturday, July 21. The 12-round bout will be Mosley's third title defense since capturing the championship from Oscar De La Hoya on June 17, 2000 in Los Angeles. This will be the 160th world title bout in Caesars' 35-year history.
The 29-year-old Mosley from Pomona, Calif., has a record of 37-0 with 34 knockouts. Selected as the WBC's Fighter of the Year for 2000, Mosley generally is acknowledged as one of the top three fighters in the world, pound-for pound. On March 10, 2001, Mosley defended his title again, stopping Shannan Taylor the fifth round at Caesars Palace.
Adrian "The Predator" Stone from Bristol, England has a ring record of 30-3-2 with 23 knockouts. He will celebrate his 30th birthday two days before the fight. He won the International Boxing Organization light middleweight champion title in April 2000 and has defended it successfully three times.
