"Superstars Live in Concert" produced by Barrie Cunningham will be the musical variety show playing this summer from June 21-Aug. 31 at the Riverside. The show will feature tribute performances by look and sound alike artists with back-up singers and dancers, and the All Star Band. The patriotic finale will have a tribute to Neil Diamond.

As the star of the show, Barrie Cunningham plays the Diamond and Jimmy Buffett roles. Shows will highlight at least three other tribute artists and some acts will change for the second half of the summer run. Other tributes may include: The Blues Brothers, Toby Keith, Shania Twain, Tim McGraw, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, among others. Tickets are $23, call 1-800-227-3849.

The Colorado Belle's award-winning microbrewery, the Boiler Room Brew Pub, is now serving a specialty beer in addition to four types of handcrafted beer brewed on a regular basis. The "Brewmaster's Choice" for early summer is "India Pale Ale" (also called "IPA").

Brewmaster Marshall Redmond describes the IPA as "excellent, very hoppy, with a nice piney and somewhat fruity aroma." He adds that, "even though it is high in alcohol (7.4 percent), the beer is dominated by the hops in the aroma and in the flavor."

Redmond said the next Brewmaster's Choice on tap in early July will be the very popular light and refreshing Hefe Weizen beer.

Each month 75 barrels of beer are brewed in the Boiler Room's huge copper kettles. The microbrewery's four staples include Golden Ale (delicately hopped, a very crisp ale); Amber Ale (well balanced beer, modestly hopped, with malty and caramel characteristics); Pale Ale (the "hoppiest" beer with smooth bitterness, and a lingering hop flavor and aroma); and the Stout (made with darker malts, it's dry, with a roasted malt character and chocolate and coffee flavors). The 25-oz. sampler is just $4.95 and features 5-oz. glasses of each beer. The Boiler Room bar begins serving at 11 a.m. daily.

The Boiler Room is located on the "B" Deck (casino level) in the stern of the Colorado Belle. The restaurant's d‚cor is reminiscent of a boiler room aboard a ship, complete with an array of steam pipes, navigation charts, and control panels with operating lights. The Boiler Room restaurant begins serving at 4 p.m. daily.

The Marshall Tucker Band will perform inside the Flamingo Laughlin Ballroom on June 25 at 9 p.m. Tickets are $19.95 and $24.95 plus tax, call 800-435-8469.

It's been over 30 years since the band formed and they continue to be played regularly on classic rock and country radio stations. The Marshall Tucker Band earned seven gold and three platinum albums with hit singles like "Fire on the Mountain." During the'90s, The Marshall Tucker Band scored four hit singles on Billboard's country chart and one on Billboard's gospel chart.

The Marshall Tucker Band is comprised of Doug Gray (lead vocals), Pat Elwood (bass guitar and vocals), Chris Hicks (guitar and vocals), Stuart Swanlund (slide guitar and vocals), B.B Borden (drums) and David Muse (keyboards, saxophone, flute and vocals.)
