The popular Edwards twins will headline their "Celebrities on Stage" impersonation show in the Bermuda Club at the River Palms through June 18. They will be touring during the summer and returning in mid-September for an extended run through June 2004.

Identical twins Anthony and Eddie Edwards have assembled a variety show that opens with a giant screen showing excerpts of "The Tonight Show" starring Johnny Carson along with "behind the scenes" clips demonstrating how the twins create the personas of the different stars they impersonate.

Eddie portrays all the female characters, while Anthony sticks to the male roles. One thing all the characters have in common is the twins make them larger-than-life and very flamboyant with extraordinary costumes. In fact, all of the female costumes are done by Bob Mackie and other top designers.

Some of the stars they bring to life on stage include Sonny and Cher, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin, Rod Stewart, and Carol Burnett.

Eddie began his career in "Las Cage Aux Folles" and began mastering makeup techniques when he was 18. Anthony was also part of "La Cage," touring Toronto, Canada. It was Carol Burnett who saw the show and suggested they put their own act together.

The 2nd Chance Summer Cash Giveaway promotion runs through July 5 at 11 p.m. Participants receive one drawing ticket for each $10 Blackjack or for winning a $5 straight up bet on Roulette. The Laughlin winner will advance to a competition in Arizona on Sept. 20. The nationals will be televised and held in Nashville where the grand prize winner will take home $100,000 plus a demo contract.

Entertainment at the Ramada Express offers a variety of options for visitors. On June 13, at 7 p.m., the free Crewmember Talent Show will feature employees who work at the resort showing off their talent. Shows like this are always a lot of fun.

Upcoming production show offerings include the MiShar condensed version of the Broadway play "South Pacific" from June 22-July 2, and "Route 66: A Celebration of America's Main Street" from July 25-Aug. 3.

Headliners on the roster include The Four Freshmen, June 14-17, and singing impressionist Bob Anderson, July 12-14. Tickets are $15 and $19.
