Crystal Gayle will appear in concert at the Ramada Express on June 15 and 16. She'll perform 7:30 and 10 p.m. shows on Saturday and an 8 p.m. show on Sunday. Tickets are $22.50 per person, call 1-800-243-6846.

Gayle's way with music is hardly surprising considering her life story. Coming a long way from her roots in the Appalachian coal mining town of Paintsville, Ky., she has almost three dozen hit records to her credit. She's the youngest of eight children and was encouraged by her older sister Loretta Lynn, with whom she traveled and sang with each summer for a few weeks.

Crystal signed her first recording contract while she was in school. Her debut single, "I've Cried (The Blue Right Out of My Eyes)," was written by Lynn and reached the Top 25 on the national country music charts. Three more singles were released during the next three years and each found a place on the charts.

With her fourth album "We Must Believe In Magic," Crystal became the first female country artist to achieve platinum sales status. Her next album, also platinum, "When I Dream," contained the title song, "Talking In Your Sleep," which was BMI's most played country song in 1978.

Crystal was honored in October 1990, when "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" and songwriter Richard Leigh were recognized by ASCAP as one of the top ten most performed country songs of the century.

Eddie Money, will bring 25 years of rock 'n roll hits to the Flamingo Laughlin Ballroom for a concert on Saturday, June 29. Money does about 150 shows per year for his fans. Concert tickets in Laughlin are $19.95 and $24.95, call 1-800-435-8469 or 702-298-5111.

Since his 1977 breakthrough debut album, Money has racked up gold and platinum ratings among his 12 albums, with sales of more than 11 million worldwide. The "bad boy of rock" has matured musically and artistically.

Money is composing new songs, touring and performing in feature films and on television. He guest-starred on "The King of Queens" on May 13. Last year, he played a rock 'n roll idol in the feature film "Joe Dirt" and starred as Mimi's ex-husband in an episode of "The Drew Carey Show."

Stand-up comedian and television actor, Kevin James will headline at Harrah's Hacienda Grande Ballroom on June 9. Tickets are $30, call 702-298-8510.

The Long Island, N.Y., native began his comedy career in an improvisational group led by his brother, comedian Gary Valentine.

After making appearances on both "Star Search" and "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," James scored his first big break at the 1996 "Just For Laughs" Montreal Comedy Festival. Soon after, James won a recurring role on CBS' "Everybody Loves Raymond" acting alongside his friend, Ray Romano.

In 1998, James returned to CBS as the star of the new half-hour comedy show, "King of Queens." He plays the role of parcel deliveryman, Doug Heffeman, and legendary comedian, Jerry Stiller, has the role of his eccentric father-in-law.

In 2001, James headlined in the aptly named television special, "Kevin James: Sweat The Small Stuff." And most recently, he hosted the "50th Anniversary of The Honeymooners" honoring the classic ensemble cast starring Jackie Gleason.

The Colorado Belle is offering special "Roughin' It" three-day, two-night room packages with two rounds of golf at the Desert Lakes or Emerald River golf courses through Sept. 15. To make reservations, call 1-800-477-4837.

The deal includes accommodations for two, two rounds of golf with the cart included, one sleeve of Colorado Belle logo golf balls, a free $10 value entry into either the Daily Blackjack Tournament or the (Wo)Man vs. Machine daily slot tournament, one round of drinks, and a coupon for a "free" night to use on another visit between Nov. 3 2002 and Jan. 24, 2003. Packages start at $125 Monday through Thursday and $150 on the weekends.

The "Roughin' It" room package offers a choice of either golf course. The Emerald River is two miles south of the casino strip. It's considered one of southern Nevada's most challenging courses. The winding 18-hole championship course hugs the bank of the Colorado River and features striking elevation changes, narrow fairways, undulating greens, a natural desert landscape and target greens.

The more forgiving 18-hole Desert Lake Golf Course is across the Colorado River in Arizona. It features open fairways and an eight-area lake driving range.
