The legendary "Rhinestone Cowboy," Glen Campbell has been in the music business more than 30 years. At age four, his father bought him a $5 guitar from Sears and Roebuck. He left home by the age of 14 to pursue music full-time. By age 24, he had moved to Los Angeles and found studio work as a guitarist working with such artists as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Merle Haggard and Elvis Presley. Campbell even toured as a member of the Beach Boys.

A landmark year for Campbell was 1967 when he released "Gentle On My Mind," which was one of the most played songs in the history of country music. One year later, he made "By The Time I Get To Phoenix."

Television followed when "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" took to the airwaves in January 1969, and lasted for three years with 50 million people watching each week.

Movies didn't escape him either. In 1969, he had a hit with "True Grit," the recorded soundtrack for the movie in which Campbell starred with John Wayne.

The Colorado Belle is featuring the world's first customer programmable, full motion, virtual reality Cyber Roller Coaster ride. The MaxFlight VR2002 Roller Coaster is located on the property's "D" Deck, throughout the summer.

Thanks to the patented "Forward-of-the-Axis" motion technology, the VR2002 Roller Coaster features a free-swinging passenger pod cable of full 360-degree pitch, roll, loop, spin and spiral. This is full virtual realty featuring a 58-inch video screen with LCD projection for the scenery, complete surround sound with bass speakers inside the seat to simulate the rumble of a roller coaster track, and special ventilation that blows wind in your face.

Added to these multi-media features, the full motion systems allows riders to pull the same "G" forces they would in an actual amusement park. The passengers actually complete breath-stealing back flips, barrel rolls, corkscrews, upside-down tunnels, loops, spirals and more.

The ride is fully customer programmable. You can select from mild to wild. The user-friendly computer system allows riders to choose from any of the pre-programmable track settings, or create their own with up to 38 billion variations.

The ride costs $5 per person, whether you program your own, or ride one of the pre-determined paths. Riders must be 48 inches tall or taller. The Cyber Coaster is open daylight hours, seven days a week.
