Legendary Motown singer and songwriter, Smokey Robinson will headline at the Rio Vista Outdoor Amphitheater on April 7 for one performance only. Tickets are $25, $30 and $35.

Robinson's name is synonymous with "Motown." He was a founding executive of the famed record company and also the lead singer for the Miracles, a group that created such classics as "Shop Around," "Tears Of A Clown," and "I Second That Emotion."

Other Motown artists benefited from Robinson's songwriting skills. "Get Ready" and "My Guy" became smash hits for The Temptations and Mary Wells.

The magical touch with love ballads is evident on Robinson's latest Motown-produced release, "Intimate," with tunes like "Sleepin' In" and "I'm the One."

Radio is again playing an important role for Robinson, who is now a deejay for California radio station KHHT- 92.3 FM. Taking over the morning segment reigns, he spins love-themed ballads and pillow-talking soul.

Mark your calendars for the next big citywide event in Laughlin. The 20th Annual Laughlin River Run will take place April 24-28. More than 50,000 bikers will attend this ride-in bike rally, the largest of its kind in the West. Many bikers will make a side trip to the historic town of Oatman, located 30 miles southeast of Laughlin.

The Arizona town of Oatman was born as a gold mining town in 1906. Today it is a time-capsuled tourist stop with shopping, street gunfights, historic buildings like the hotel where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their wedding night, gold mines and local saloons. For information, call the Oatman Chamber of Commerce at 520-768-6222 or email: oatmanaz@ctaz.com.

Berri Lee continues to do his comedy / magic show in the Bermuda Club at 4 and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the River Palms. The show is free.

The Colorado Belle and Edgewater Keno Departments have added four new keno progressive jackpots to their live keno game options. The jackpots, linked between the two properties, will substantially increase the size of the payoffs on $1.25 wagers on 6, 7, 8 and 9 spot tickets. For example, catch all 9 spots on a 9-spot ticket and you'll collect a minimum of $40,000.

All players have to do to qualify for any of the progressive jackpots at either casino is write "PG" on the ticket next to the number of spots and wager.

The two properties also have "Bonus Keno on the Go" programs that give a cash bonus of 10 percent or more on the specific payoffs of special $1 tickets.

To qualify for the bonus, the winning tickets must have been purchased in a multi-ticket wager of 21 or more games. Previously, the bonus was offered when multi-tickets of 50 games or more were played.

In addition, anyone who plays $50 or more at the Edgewater will receive a free ball cap and at the Colorado Belle awarded a free Keno T-shirt.

The Caddy Card promotion is continuing at the Golden Nugget through 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 20. Scratch cards will be given out while supplies last.
