The Smothers Brothers comedy duo will headline Don's Celebrity Theatre at the Riverside, March 2-7. Tickets are $32, call 1-800-227-3849, ext. 616.

As the Smothers Brothers mark over 45 years in show business, they are being saluted as time-honored legends whose lengthy career has surpassed all other comedy teams in history. With their singular blend of comedic and musical talents, the irrepressible brothers have made a sweeping impact on diverse generations of fans. "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" is now studied in universities across the country as an important factor in the revolutionary changes undergone in the U. S. during the 1960's.

Tom and Dick were born in New York City, graduated from Redondo Union High School, and attended San Jose State University. Tom was a gymnast and Dick was on the track team. The brothers' first professional appearance was at The Purple Onion in San Francisco in 1959 and their first national television appearance was on the Jack Paar show on Jan. 28, 1961.

Over four decades, audiences have seen the Smothers Brothers in their own primetime comedy series in the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's guest appearances on numerous television programs, countless engagements as headliners in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe, a hot-selling video, twelve top-selling albums, as well as continuous coast-to coast concert tours, some with symphony orchestras.
