"When We Were Fab, A Tribute To The Beatles," is scheduled at the Ramada Express, Feb. 23 - 26, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $17.50 per person.

The show highlights the talents of the stars of Broadway's "Beatlemania" and offers a chance to re-live history. Through Beatles songs plus media clips, and still shots projected on the Pavilion's four theater-sized screens, audiences are transported back in time and experience the evolution of their music and of the times.

Denise and Bob Swartzman, the producers who brought the hit variety show "Country Kickin'" to the Riverside the past three years, are presenting an all-new variety show "Rolling On The River" in The Dance Club. Tickets are $15 and include drink and appetizer specials, call 1-800-227-3849.

The comedy star of the show is Fats Johnson, former lead singer of The New Christy Minstrels. Fats Johnson has appeared in concert with such legendary performers as Roy Clark, Brenda Lee and Wayne Newton. He has also headlined in popular comedy clubs.

Singing and dancing talent is provided by Natalie Carson, who was the lead singer in last year's show, and Connie Murray. Both ladies have appeared in "Ovation" at the Aladdin and have worked together in "Viva Las Vegas" at the Stratosphere.

"Rolling On The River" also includes local dancers, the Twizzle Trio contortion group, the Dynamic Dancing Duo of Ginny London and Brittany Norris and an eight-year-old tapper named Nathan London as specialty acts.

There will be a charity fundraiser on Saturday evening, April 10, at 7 p.m., in the Colorado Belle's Mardi Gras Banquet Room. The fundraiser will feature a string trio, wine sampling and hors d'oeurves-and an opportunity to meet the artists and bid on items donated by the artists for the auction. Tickets to the fundraiser are $37.50 plus tax per person with two drinks included.

A free spring art festival is coming to Laughlin Easter weekend, April 10 and 11, at three hotels: the Colorado Belle, Edgewater and Ramada Express.

The First Riverwalk Art Festival on the river walk between the Colorado Belle and Edgewater hotels will feature the work of more than 75 artisans from California, Utah, Arizona and Southern Nevada from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There will be fine arts and crafts including paintings, ceramics, glass, and sculptures.

The festival will also feature the Colorado Belle's Parti Gras food, New Orleans style vendors, tarot readings, face-painting and caricature painting, a free outdoor concert of Cajun music by the Kenny Menard band, and a silent auction of hand-painted ceramic eggs and other art work to benefit local charities. The auction will be inside the Colorado Belle/Edgewater Event Center Saturday evening.

In addition, the Ramada Express will sponsor Artist's Weekend on Casino Drive and Victory Plaza in front of the hotel. Admission is free, and the event features wine and cheese tasting and artist vendor booths.

For a limited time, the Colorado Belle is offering Riverwalk Art Festival room packages starting from $99 plus tax, and includes two nights (Friday and Saturday, April 9-10) accommodations, $10 in certificates valid at any of six dine-in restaurants or the main Gift Shop, a commemorative poster of an original watercolor painting created for the event by Las Vegas artist Mark Vranesh, two event souvenir t-shirts and a free night's stay next winter (valid Nov. 1, 2004 through Jan. 27, 2005-subject to availability), call 800-477-4837.

The Edgewater will offer special Art Festival event packages starting from $99 as well, call 800-67-RIVER.

The Ramada Express has a five day St. Patrick's Day party planned, March 13-17, with Pat O'Brien singing Celtic ballads.

Any of the nights, the themed party is $18.95 per person and includes an authentic Irish buffet dinner, drink, entertainment, and a limited edition $5 gaming chip that you can add to your collection or use on the tables or cash in at the cage.

Murphy's Irish Pub in Victory Plaza will be the place for fun and games (like pool, darts, and Foosball), snacks, and free music from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly.

A green "Irish" lei that you can get free from the Slot Club Booth, Murphy's Pub, or at the Irish Feast will bring you the Luck of the Irish. If you wear your green leis while gaming in the casino, you might be one of the lucky players randomly selected to reach into the Pot O' Gold. Five thousand dollars in cash prizes will be given away between Mar.13 - 17.

Cosmo Dough is the promotion running through Feb. 29, at the Flamingo. Visitors to the resort may enter twice-daily drawings for the opportunity to play the "Flamingo's Cosmo Dough" game and win more than $100,000 in cash, plus additional prizes. Played twice daily at Center Stage in the casino, the game is open to visitors and guests age 21 and older. Drawings for five contestants to play the "Two-Minute Solar Slot Tournament" preliminary round are held at 1 and 6 p.m. every day.

One contestant wins the slot tournament at each session by accumulating the most jackpot points on one of five slot machines on the Center Stage. The tournament winner spins and advances around the 40-space Cosmo Dough game board as far as possible. Spinning any number in a "star" brings an additional free spin, helping to reach the ultimate goal of the "Cape Flamingo Space Center" - worth $2,000. Making it twice around the board yields $10,000 and many spaces add to the cash prize.

The remaining four contestants from the preliminary round receive 10,000 Connection Card points, a pair of complimentary tickets to the Paradise Garden Buffet, and two show tickets. Selected contestants must be present at the drawings and have their entry ticket stubs and photo identification in order to play.

Tickets to enter the daily drawings are earned in many ways from playing games to eating meals. No purchase is necessary to enter and entries in the drawing drum are discarded daily. For information, call 800-435-8469 or 702-298-5111.
